Holy cow, I can't believe what those averages are. I worked incredibly hard to get a 2.99 in an engineering degree. Although I wasn't the smartest in my classes, I definitely wasn't below average.

Here to stay....for now. Last I heard was at least another 7 years. My guess is if the domestic market continues to strengthen they'll be around at least that.

1.Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Engineering and science based schools dominate the Sweet Sixteen of Tough A's. Their workloads are higher and their grades are lower than national averages. I went to RPI for a while - tough school. If you weren't taking 18 credits a semester, you weren't going to graduate on time. And 15 of them were engineering. Probably better academically than Auburn. But the women were... well.. lets just say it was (a) an engineering school so the ratio was probably 5:1 (and not in a good way) and (b) the girls that went there were - well - there's a reason our Division III football didn't have cheerleaders.*

* The Div I hockey team was kick-butt, I have to say.

They have not "officially" made a comment on them, but the "rumor" is that they are staying, getting what upgrades they can.

Also, lots o jets will be returning from their vacation in the arid desert of the Western US.

Just going to tell ya that things should get moving here in the next six months or so.....

I take my bow. My 2.# GPA was well earned. Actually, I worked way way too much in college especially early on and I never met coffee until five years after graduating college, I didn't like it. Big mistake. If only I had know about cold coffee then.

Anyways, ACL or anyone, how long until we swap slots, terminals and begin flying with LGA from right now if nothing changes from this point forward and the @#%()*#@$% at the DOT get out of the way?

And could SWA sue to stop the slot swap?

I think we should have given SWA 5 slots in LGA as long as they cut their operations in BNA, BHM, DAL and MCO by 9/10ths.

I'll hang up and listen now.

The DOT can make their final ruling any time they want. I would expect us to start flying the routes within 30-60 days after the ruling. Say March 30th and flights starting sometime in May. We are ready to move.

As for SWA. They could have bid on those slots in the last round and opted out. If they give them slots, it is a load of you know what. Maybe we should ask for route authorities we passed up on a few years ago. How about we ask the DOT to give us AMR's Chinese route authorities out of ORD. Doesn't make a lot of sense does it.

It they pull that, expect a very non favorable response from us toward are pro-labor DC contingent. (edited to remain within TOS! )

Word from the LGA CPO is that the move is delayed to the fall if the swap is approved. Guess we could see some of the flying before then but the benefit of the move is more gates and better connections for the pax.

Agreed, but things can change quickly. Not having to do that flying now lets us add some of the international they want to do too, so it really depends on where they want to focus on.
