I asked 2 simple questions and neither was answered. Probably best to leave these issues alone as they are union rep issues. Neither of us have enough info to debate these issues on here and it only causes negative vibs between the groups. I'm done with it, but I am left with a huge feeling of uncertainty when it comes to being well represented by our union. This is not a DAL -S thing I would and have said that about the union before the merger. The ironic thing is the only guy I would never make this statement about is the guy we are talking about-KW. Done over and out.
It does make me sad that this is going on. I know KW and have nothing but the utmost respect for him in his former position. I believe that if he feels that his abilities are not going to be utilized, then there is nothing for him to do. He is not one to hangout, collect a paycheck and twiddle his thumbs. He would work tirelessly as the Contract Admin while flying almost full schedules (note: I do understand and support flight pay loss as long as it is not being abused).
What I find ironic about the Council 54 letter is the fact that some of these same individuals had a huge problem with the Security Chairman at NWA (I believe the feeling they had was that he was a "rogue" as he didn't just follow along with the senior agenda). I will say that this security chairman absolutely looks out for the junior pilots.
Nuff said and I am not going to debate the issue further. It is time that we move on and march together.

Instead of "this is how it was done at f NWA or f DAL and it was better" we should be saying, you know the way we do it now doesn't make sense, it might make more sense if we did it like this.. And that way you really don't know if it is a f NWA or f DAL way of doing things, just that if it is better and/or safer, it makes sense to try and do it that way.
