Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Well I put my thoughts onto a long rant twice, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. Pressed preview and was logged out each time, lost the post. This one's a lot shorter!
Just some friendly advice for cohesion. While a tough stance can be very motivating at times, there is always a place for empathy and understanding as well. I'm sure I risk being attacked for sounding like a woman, but it works in all environments, at home and at work.
South guys, maybe try and make the issues that concern north guys YOUR issues. If someone complains about an issue, don't give your thoughts if you can't help them. Try to come up with a plan to fix the issue. If you run into someone at the hotel compaining, take him/her to the bar and buy a round. Let'em vent some more. Pat them on the back and say job well done (EXCEPTIONALLY WELL done in my opinion!).
We are all taught to trust our gut instincts when something doesn't feel right. It's an entirely new language for Fnwa guys. Same old data, just different patterns. Make's that gut instinct twitch a lot these days! Bottom line, MAKE "OUR" PROBLEMS "YOUR" PROBLEMS! (yes, even old prickly union issues)
Fnwa guys - stop complaining. It is what it is. Keep it safe.

Come on ladies, man up, drink beer and post some underboob, or juicy rumors
I think one of the biggest problems with "North" issues or "South" issues is once you start trying to fix one you open up a whole can of worms with both sides. There were "LOTS" of things that went into the joint current and both sides "won/lost" on various issues and working to fix some real or perceived inequity is not going to work without reopening ALL the issues. We are one pilot group with a joint contract and should work on what we are going to improve for everyone in the next contract. "Fixing" things for one group or the other just isn't going to work, IMHO.
Yeah, I probably could've left that one out. I wasn't trying to focus on "fixing" issues as it pertains to seperate pilot groups.
I just think the former north guys are tired of feeling like they get no love for bearing the brunt of the changes. And many valid concerns sometimes run into brick walls. I also think we confuse beaurocrasy with stubborness.
And it seems most former south guys are sick and tired of hearing guys complain about how horribly run their airline is. They, like former NWA pilots, have worked for many years dedicating and sacrificing much to make Delta great through tough times. Overall, I'm impressed and think it's going to be a great career. I'd be sick of hearing it too.
Just a view from the sidelines. And yes, this place is in desperate need of some good news! ACL?!?!
Trust me guys we love ya. That does not seem to be the issue.
Those statements are like a keg of explosives. If there are grievances from the premerger NWA that need to be dealt with great, do it. But mudslinging of this magnitude is not good for any one. If this stuff continues it will divide us.
Lets look for a solution that gets the issues resolved and allows us to move forward as a combined unified group. We are far enough away from C2012 that though explosive, there could be a benefit of this event taking place. Let deal with the issue and point our efforts in the correct direction.
