I think Super or 80Kts said something about using taxiways for landing or taking off as part of being in Skyteam. I think only Korean and China Southern still have to complete that part of membership. Ok ok - maybe Aeromexico too!

Aeroflot. Perhaps the Russians are used to having 3, 4, maybe 5 men in the cockpit of those Ruski crafts they fly. And not only that, but many, many cockpit windows. Dozens of windows everywhere in those Tupolevs and Antonovs. It could be that they were short a few pilots and short a lot of windows...how could they possibly be expected to find the runway like that?

HA! 10 points and amen on keeping the diesel class.

Next time tell them your "huntin" and when they ask what your huntin, just say ... actually I don't know what to say. VOR seems obvious. "Pop Up VORs", no, probably not as funny, just say "Good Will".. get it? I don't know, somebody funny needs to come up with something.

I wouldn't mention a specific landmark though. Bad form.

Actually, network did indicate in the latest round of base visits that they were probably going to 90 qualify NYC on the Mayish AE to get the crews they needed to cover the new(ish) 90 arrivials.

You should get a PD if the "Available" numbers are in excess of the "Required" numbers on the Pilot Reserve Levels list under Open Time. You can take as many of those as you can get. APD on the other hand will get you days off when fewer reserves are available. There is a formula but just assume that if they have any reserves for the days you want, it might work. All they can say is no. But remember, you only get to do one APD per anniversary year. You can take up to 4-days on that one time. There are certain days around holidays that APDs are not allowed.

IMHO, his (and by extrapolation our Company's) focus isn't on mainline.

We're one scope negotiation away from complete irrelevance in domestic flying. Mainline doesn't even serve Canadian markets.

I read it completely differently than you.

Where is Republic based? Indianapolis. Where are we upgauging aircraft? Milwaulkee. So is AirTran and SWA. SWA and UAL are increasing service at DIA. Look at Republic's debt. While I never count a competitor out, they've sparked a competitive response around the industry that won't be healthy for them. Also, they are one of the smallest lift providers for each company for which they subcontract. They thought that got them diversification. It also makes them the most easily replaced.

Where is additional Delta mainline service going? LAX and SEA. New markets internationally, and a return to markets we haven't served domestically in years.

It appears your focus isn't on mainline either... (read the 10-K, another 30 RJ's gone this year).

Was great seeing the new mainline service out of LAX and SEA.... doesn't change that I cringe everytime I see or ride on an E175 or jumbo CRJ....

I assume your min guarantee is adusted accordingly for this. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks. I just want to make sure that I'm not leaving some free paid days off on the table.
