Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
"if unions representing mainline pilots agree to relax restrictions on the size and number of aircraft that may be operated by regionals in codeshare with majors, the pilots will become "irrelevant in the US domestic market 25 years from now."
"if, as some suggest, mainline pilots agree to raise the limit to up to 125 seats, regional airlines simply will assume most domestic flying."
YGTBSM....I would hope DALPA, or any other union would never agree to this...

The next ALPA President is going to be someone who stands for....
Uh-oh. Never mind.

Until 60% of us start voting NO instead of Yes, it'll keep right on happening, how do you think the RJ's took 53% of our domestic flying in the first place? Simple, we GAVE it to them!
So there, a couple of paragraphs to succinctly explain the dangers looming on the horizon when it comes to scope. Now tack on this news and you see how the scope candle is burning fast at both ends:
China Southern Airlines plans to join SkyTeam Cargo this year, Senior VP-Cargo Luo Laijun announced during the IATA World Cargo Symposium in Vancouver. The Guangzhou-based carrier would be the first Chinese airline to join a global cargo alliance and is expected to gain full membership by November. "Since its passenger membership into the SkyTeam alliance on Nov. 15, 2007, China Southern Cargo has been working to narrow the gap in all areas between itself and the alliance," Luo said, citing efforts in safety auditing, fleet renewal and expansion, hub development, service improvement, IT and branding. CZ Cargo operates two 747-400Fs and two 777-200Fs from Shanghai Pudong to Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Chicago O'Hare. It plans to add four more 777-200Fs by the end of 2011 and launch new service to Vienna, New York JFK, Dallas/Fort Worth and other major destinations in Europe and North America from both PVG and Guangzhou Baiyun. SkyTeam Cargo currently comprises the cargo arms of AeroMexico, Air France, Alitalia, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM and Korean Air.

Delta Air Lines expects March unit revenue to soar 16% year-over-year, but the February snowstorms will impact revenue by an estimated $30 million, according to a US Securities and Exchange Commission filing. Nevertheless, operating margin now is expected to be 1%-2% rather than the breakeven forecast in late January. System capacity will be down 4%-5%.

That's my biggest fear, that come contract time, a group of special interest pilots hijack the MEC and sell scope for a raise and a pension.
Duane Woerth stood with the majority of pilots whom wanted age 60 to stay the same, the special interest groups got rid of him quick.

Notwithstanding Keenster and Nu's proclamations to the contrary, I fear there is a real possibility of that happening.
(BTW, this is my beer question for TOEs: Where is the ONLY place you can find the forecast temperature for your destination? And why?)
T:
Since I used a color I believe you're fond of...please be kind.
My second guess is on the bottom of the AWABS. Reason...Trick Question.
Since we're dealing with DAL, Mother Nature, and WX Guessers, if the Destination Forecast Temp was REALLY IMPORTANT, it would be presented in multiple places. The obvious would be on the WX data Page/s in the Forecast Weather section...(too easy), and at the bottom of the flight plan, at the destination listing. It would also be easy to find its location in the on-line FOM. (I checked.)

But, now that ya'll all know the answer... if you ever fly with me and I ask this, you have to act ig'nant and I'll still buy the beer.
I would hope that by 2011-2012 more than 50.1% will know not to accept it and 0% of the reps accept it. What we need is more bonehead announcements like Bombardier made when RAH bout it's C-Series to get people to understand what's going on.
Also, AMR is supposedly in talks with Embraer on the E19X and if they order it for mainline, for our sake I hope they order it.

Since your guess was first... and also the closest... It is on the preface because it is used in calculating your maximum LANDING weight. It would be nice if it were on the AWABS too, I agree, but for some reason they chose to only put it on the preface. Not a trick question though.. just a beer question.
With fingers in ears- la la la la la la la la la Great color choice by the way.
