Glad to hear it Denny. Not so much the case when some of the guys that I have had this happen to.

97.5% of the guys i fly with are adamant about scope protection! With that said, everyone of them has watched MEM get dissolved and the ones remaining typically are the ones that live there. They're watching their chance of finishing their careers driving to work go out the window and arent very happy about it. Scope is recognized by the majority and the fire needs to remain hot! Even the commuters know the importance of scope as the majority of commuters are now stuck commuting on RJ's and thus are reminded weekly about protecting OUR jobs!!

Super, go the International WB's and see how that changes. Not saying everyone is this way, because they are not, but the distance to the bottom and the miles to the finish line are vastly different than those you are flying with.

understand but a large majority of the WB guys are commuters and are often stuck commuting on RJ's which is why i threw that in there. At least in the N bases, soon the S-guys that are going to be forced into commuting and get to see more of it in the near future.

I think the issue, as some of us see it, that if you didn't know these jets running around us aren't ours then next time the issue of scope comes up will they fully appreciate where we already sit with that today? Hence our reason for bringing it up.

Anotherwords, "so whats another 25 76-seaters really?" Well if you know a CRJ-700/900 from a CRJ200/EMB145 and an EMB-170/175 from 737/319 then you (the non APC posters) notice the shear size of their fleets and the coming storm.

I think in reality scope issues abound and none are more difficult to put a finger on and more dangerous for all of us then the widebody scope issues. Some how, some way, we need to put a face to that danger.

The importance of sign reading.

ACL and all of us,

We need to stop calling it a regional jet!!!
It's an outsource jet
It's a low labor cost jet
It's a where's my upgrade jet

An aircraft family of planes that can fly over 2000 miles and carry over 100 pax is a mainline aircraft. True, the 175 has only 76 seats in it, it can fly more pax. The new CS that Republic just ordered can seat around 134 pax and can fly over 2500 miles, and Bombardier is calling it a regional jet!!! It is clearly not. This is a direct threat to every MD88, A319, and 737-700 pilots and will influence wages and raises all the way up to the top metal flown.

I do not argue with that one bit.

You want us to coin it as a Hemisphere Jet?

CS-300 will seat 138 btw

ALSO THE COMPANY JUST PUT UP A LINK ON DELTANET FOR EMPLOYEES TO SEND A LETTER TO THEIR REPRESENTATIVES IN REGARDS TO OUR REQUEST FOR HANEADA ACCESS. IT TAKES ALL OF 20 SECONDS TO FILL OUT YOUR INFO AND IT DOES THE REST.

Good golly! How could anyone believe otherwise? Even if offered, who would ever be stupid enough to trust their retirement to a dinosaur like a defined benefit pension plan?

It would be the worst of all worlds, because a "promise" of a pension would probably be in exchange for few, if any, wage increases. Thereby making independent saving for retirement that much more difficult.
