I dunno. This group (across the board) is very adamant about this. Now another trip though CH11 shortly after this contract is signed, now that would do it.

Of course this group is adamant. But you know how this will go down... I'd type a scene from the play, but I'm too sick and too lazy right now to do it..

Your passion for scope is admirable.. until you enter the class envy (for lack of a better term) into it. Then your credibility goes straight to the cess pool. It probably won't affect metoo much if we give the 100 seaters to DCI... probably... but it will pi$$ me off no end to see DCI pilots flying OUR colors on jets that are no more regional than the space shuttle, so please.. back off your generalisations. I'm behind the effort 100% absolutely without reservation, but the reality is that there are some guys at the top that aren't as interested as you and I are... they never will be. Not anymore than you are in giving them.. me a fully funded DB plan back... we all have some differing interests. That's just the way it is. Personally, if I don't see a reserve system that truly recognizes seniority in ALL apsects of bidding and trip assignment/pickup, I am voting no to any contract I am faced with, and I have NEVEr been a single issue voter before. 2015 will be different. Sorry.. rant over.

The US had a "manifest destiny" to populate the west. Part of that colonization was a fight with the British over the boundary of the USA and Canada. Henry Polk ran a campaign in 1844 over 54 -40 or fight, meaning 54 deg 40 minutes latitude. The treaty of Oregon in 1846 settled the border at the 49th parallel. Manifest Destiny still was the theme of Polk's party from 1845 onward, even though the scope of that destiny was limited by treaty.

Probably, we will be much more ready that the south group because it is in our nature and what we grew up with. It seems to me that you need some north blood in some of these MECs because as a newbie looking in now, I see alot of cushy nice talk when it comes to the company. Fine, if that works, but I bet money that things are going to get uglier rather that prettier in the future and they will test us as a group. We better get off the can and draw a line in the sand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh puhleeez. Get over yourself

Of the numerous mainline pilots I've had in the j/s, the hot button issue is the pension. I've never heard anyone mention scope recapture. Although, I doubt a guy would say he wants to put me out of work while trying to get my j/s.
