I guess the $$$ question is what your definition of "some" is. Could this mean US Air will have to sell some of their DCA slots (which they're getting from us) since the sticking point was reportedly JB wanting access to DCA. Is there much interest out there for LGA slots?

20 pairs at LGA and 14 at DCA will have to be divested. Apparently a majority of those slots are for peak arrival periods (shocker!). Anyone with a crystal ball care to speculate on what Delta plans to do with the slots, as far as aircraft type, new destinations, etc.??

If he does leave that leads me to ask two questions.....
1) Where would he go? JAL
2) How long is RA thinking of staying?

There is always movement of the top after the successes they have had. I always assumed that the top would go and many would move up. You could be correct though. Timing is right on the money either way.

I have got to ask, what successes? Do you mean Anderson being picked for a top ten slot in the 10 greediest men in America for taking 28 million out of Delta in 26 months while the airlines financial performance lagged the industry. We have yet to turn a real dime of profit since we left chapter 11. We have kept our cash on hand up by borrowing more money. There is one measure of success for a company. A real and sustained profit. It hasn't happened here yet!

Yeah, it's their guys. I talked to a LCA and he said none of our guys are going to fly them over. The only thing they do is an acceptance flight for some of the airplanes once they get here.

Well, that can depends. It would have to come to the US prior to US registration so it is a lot easier to have their call signs used.

I have dealt with aircraft purchases before and you use the old registration and call sign until the paperwork is changed.

Just sayin....

(I do beleive their guys are flying it, but we have guys intimately involved)

We could sell ours to the Delta Charter company then lease them back. That's what I would do.
