That was a waste of... 3 minutes. I think 1/2 of that was just sitting their in disbelief that nothing else happened.

You didn't say MS FSX videos were in play! I guess I should've known though because do you remember when the 757ER differences training was out and it was all about flight simulator 757 pictures.

No I was not the U2 guy. I was a 141 guy. Another of my classmates, Razor, was a U2 guy. Mig guy also flew for CAL and quit to come here.

I thought what I posted was the DL CQ video for the DC-9 for the FMS section?

edit: It's OBVIOUS you didn't click on the HD option on that video. That's where the magic happens.

KC10.... I had never seen the actual video for that. Note to self: Never try to save gas and single engine taxi with a total hyd failure...

No I don't think they have any idea what a JAL deal will look like if it happens. They don't negotiate it with JAL. But I DO know his biggest concern was for jobs and keeping/adding as many as we can. No, I didn't talk scope as it relates to JAL. I absolutely do feel he knows what's at stake for Delta and all the Delta pilots.

Denny,
Thanks..... I am glad to hear those answers.

I'm a 21 yr CVG ER guy. I will either stay in Cincinnati or move a little further north and commute to DTW on the 7ER.

Satch, don't forget about the Norwegian ex-Special Forces guy too. It was an interesting class makeup for sure.

If the hiring projections are anything near what I'm hearing, folks on the bottom of the list wont be there for long. I hope they come true.

Your deets are what my deets are. The numbers are so good they are hard to beleive. I have heard many times by many ppl that we could possibly be hiring like we were in the late 80's. Now that would be nice.

Was told do not bid an A seat unless you want it, because you will probably get it.

(Tsquare-all conjecture and conjure until it starts happening, correct? )

OTOH I cannot just jump with both feet into the camp that the world will end...If it does, it means Christ has returned and I'm otta here. I have all of the survival stuff covered, probably because I am a pilot and plan for the worst. If there is a meltdown, it will be on a global scale. There are enough viable reasons to need air travel that it is good to be employed by the skyteam.

This administration does seem to have an agenda of tanking the dollar as quickly as possible. That is bad for america (the island) But you and I work for a global company. You and I don't have crystal balls. I recommend doing what you can to insulate yourself from the bad stuff and drive on.

Oh yeah! Those p47s are nice targets, but at least they can turn.
+1
Agree with everything you have just said.

DAL sees their forecasting going this way. It by no means is how I am investing. I think they are correct when it comes to air travel. As for the USD....... Lets just hope that being the best of the worst is not good enough for those that have a say!

No comment, nothing to discuss until there is a deal.
Did you talk about scope with the JAL deal or no deal?
Asked. No reason to talk about what ifs when there is no deal one way or another.
Do you think he has a clue what's at stake for Delta?
They do, and I have confidence in my reps to take that to the table.
Thanks for any intell you can give us all.

All of this said, from the few possible ways it could be structured we should as pilots do well.
