Narrowbody is huge for the summer, err, International is coming back, we need to go after that market. Well what about the bid, err what bid, err the one that sent 1000 pilot to small jets, well, err we need them there, err well how do you want us to staff the big jets, err, hold on let me go get a few drinks.....

Just kidding of course, but they are trying to figure out how to make this whole bid work with the summer mess that is ramping up..
You say you're kidding, but I wouldnt be suprised if that's how the conversation is going now. Too many positions to fill & not enough bodies to fill them. I sure hope it stays that way.

Then he was going to upgrade and start the same quest on the 767 fleet.
My dork meter does not peg like that.

I just log the time by day. Never know if you are going to need it.

I will just say this. If we get everything that the company is working on; LGA and JAL, the projected hiring number will equate to the size of an airline like ASA.

Bet we pull jet out of the desert for summer 2011 as well. ( I know but I am just being vague! plan makes ACL very happy. )

Agreed. The company has the pieces they need to make the puzzle they want. Now they're just trying to put it together. I think it would have to be a drastic lock up of the economy too. Always a possibility, but I think things are getting better.

A little birdie told me some really crazy staffing numbers. If we hire half of the number I heard it will shock many people, myself included. Here's to hoping it comes true!

Sloppy seconds would be nice compared to the schedule I get!

That being said, I'm thrilled to work where I do & am grateful for my job.

Yep, there is some crazy stuff that could happen if all of the stars align.

It would make Super a CA before he is 30. Now that is some scary stuff!

Yeah, I agree now. Last summer I wasn't so sure, like I said never flew. I'm actually feeling good right now.

Me too. Jobs are critical. Check out this chart:

Also, today's sell off in the markets was by mostly ONE major European seller, apparently covering losses and taking advantage of dollar strength. After 3PM they wrapped up and the market rebounded.

Interesting the counter trend moves that take place and the overall level of market sophistication these days.

I'm not even calling a bottom yet, but the indications are beginning to show objective signs of change.
