Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

G. Dude,
Now that you're back in ATL, did you get a crash pad or still at a hotel? Is it pretty easy to find a crash pad down there? And, how long is your aircraft training now?
Thanks,
Bluto

Bucking Bar,
What aircraft is your buddy on? I'm just trying to finalize my last flight in the Navy and transition to terminal leave. Does anyone think this is a bad idea to keep flying in the NAV, albeit not very much, for the few weeks after indoc and prior to aircraft training? I need some insight on this fairly quickly as I'm running out of time. I know there is a lot of home study during that time, but would be nice not to burn "leave" time if I'm still able to work a little for a few weeks. Would rather save the time and sell it back at the end. Thoughts?

Nice to know you get paid while away for a few weeks! Did anyone roll right from the 1st two weeks into training or does everyone have a few weeks off? What was the average break in training for your class? I'm trying to not go on terminal leave until I return for the second half. Double dip to the max!

Guard - He is on the 737-800. The last few classes have had the 737-800 go to the senior folks in the class.
G. Dude's idea of asking the new hire coordinator makes good sense.

But your remarks about the interview were really good and I'm sure many here will appreciate you taking the time to give this info out. Congrats on the offer and welcome to civi flying. Enjoy Delta. You guys always treat me well on the jumpseat.

Does DAL have any kind of preference for ASA guys, or could it possibly be that ASA guys might have more chance to network with DAL guys? (maybe since they probably jumpseat on each others' planes a lot, etc.)
