Hopefully see ya on that big fat airplane some day.

Carl;
I would worry if there were not difference. When that happens it means someone is not thinking nor processing the information.

I know where you are coming from. I am there too. I think it is safe to state that everyone wants major improvements.

I too hope that, "Big Fat Airplane" is here in a few years so that I can too fly it. With the merger there is still an outside chance that they will be around in five to ten years.
Marketing proved they could fill em up, so we are going to see how munch money we can make with em. I say bring it on!

I hope you are right that they can fill them up but still gotta turn a profit. I hope they realize the freight potential. So many times we would take off and all or most of the pacs were gravy on the potatoes because the freight was paying the bill. This is a huge factor in where to fly the airplane. I hope that they draw from past experience on how and where to fly the machine because we seemed to do pretty well over the years flying the 747. If it does not fit then guess it should go, but it is hard to imagine that the world's biggest airline does not have routes that they could fill the aircraft with people and freight and make a good buck.
Maybe the lease rates will tank when JAL parks 37 of them!!!!

I still wonder why we don't put them in GRU or SCL. Carried amazing loads of freight out of there on the other -400 during DEC-MAR time frame. I thought South America was the least tanked of the world's economies. Of course, out of GRU JAL flies a one stop thru JFK. I wonder if they will pull out of that one?

I'm hoping that with many things they will improve. I think that there has been alot of frustration on both sides in that change for the better seems to be moving very slow. I think that all of us are looking for things to say "look at that we are kicking a-- and taking names and making big bucks" as a result of the merger. So far there have not been those easily identifialbe items. We have not seen anything that can be pointed to very quickly and say wow. I do have to say that the speed of branding and the quickness of NWA dissapearing is an exception to my above statement and in general this company has done the best merger to date in trying to do things right as quickly as possible. Probably a little patience is needed on both sides and maybe good things will come soon. Some things we may not like and some things might be really good, time will tell. I remain to be optimistic. I'm sure there is going to be a learing curve for the company in dealing with the world's largest airline. I hope they are a quick study for all of our sakes.

I'm sad to say but the 787 is ugly. Well the nose and cockpit windows are ugly. Sad that the folks who designed the 747, 767 and 757 made an airplane that is barely more attractive then the 380.

Sorry for the drift, carry on.

Not only that, Boeing can't design a quiet cockpit.

If the silence is constantly interrupted by the voice of your mother-in-law, is it truly a quiet cockpit?

"..Sta-bi-lize-your-e-mo-tion..."

Never seen a Boeing pilot telling his aircraft to shut up.
