Seriously, how do you contact moderators?
Easy... just post a picture showing some "underboob"!
They'll contact you.

Wow, I spend one day in the air and I'm 20 pages behind...
SD in NYC stated there is a top to bottom review of everything Flight Ops does to determine the best way. The current ways were for expediency, now they are working on the best ways.
Before you start the "DAL mgt won't listen to us" stuff, remember that a bunch of current DAL mgt is fNWA mgt. Case in point the network guy who spoke at JFK. He was in charge of the Pacific region and now is in charge of Trans Atlantic.
He made a very salient point in his presentation. He (fNWA guy) said that NWA saw the changes coming in Asia wrt Japan and Narita and didn't know what to do about it. The 787 delay only added to that uncertainty. He DAL "dreams big". The deal for JAL probably would not have occurred under the old NWA mgt. He is excited to be part of the new DAL because of that.
He also said that in the beginning, DAL thought that the 744 was "4 engines, so it must be obsolete." He and other fNWA network guys have succeeded in convincing his new partners that the 74 still has value. If you can fill it it makes much more money than a 777. In markets where you can sell 400 coach seats the 744 is a great asset. From that you will see those whales go to new and different places.
The purpose of these little anecdotes is to show that the amalgamation of 4th floor types are talking to each other and listening. We may not see the sausage being made right now but if we wait patiently, it should taste good at the table.
As for IT improvements, I just want to get a look at Super's internet cache! Just think of how many pics he has to wade through to get to something that's appropriate!

OK, it's done. Four threads.
I wonder if anyone will actually manage to take the polls seriously?

I think it's safe to say 99.9% want improvements but don't feel the need to be so militant about it. I'm no Kool Aid drinker just feel we can achieve so much more through constructive well planned moves, and be prepared and willing to do what is necessary if the time comes!
Cheers

OK, and in the interest of open debate, I cleared out my "Ignore" List. First time I used it, and it's kind of [I'll delete it myself] to do it anyway.
Can't suppress opinions...
That doesn't mean I feel the need to feed the behavior either.

Just for the record, some things are worth burning the place down over (figuratively of ocurse). Had the company obtained it's 1113 requests in court, I think it would have been appropriate to shut it down instead.
The problem is that you really can't create an equal comparison between the two because both systems are different. The limiting factor on the 1.5 above 80 is would be the Trip Hour Credit (THC). It will limit your flying to ensure that you will have an average of 75 hours per month of flying remaining in the year/12 month period.
While the ALV's might be high now, the TLV has to run between 74 and 79 hours in a rolling 12 month period.
Also, Green slips are generally going to be same day or shorter notice day prior awards.
As a DAL-N, I really like the GS because it they are awarded in seniority order however, it allows the reserve pilots a chance to break guarantee.

edit: sorry for the font, cant get it straightened out.

I think you missed my point. In months that the ALV is above 80.... you would not have to do anything since once over 80 you get 1.5 pay.
Now if you were to pick up white slips and go over 80 you get straight pay.
ALV now are low.... told they will go high over the summer.
I may like GS flying too. I have not gotten one yet.
My main point was to EVALUATE BOTH programs and see which one puts the most money in all of our pockets. I know both are different, however, the union was able to show the results of both programs to the MEC a few months back.
