Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Would not have a problem with your percentage equation, But here it is. Before Merger: NWA % 22 Retire at 3%. Post Merger: DAL 23% Retire at 13%. If I had my same retirement percentage I would not have a beef at all. DOH may be meaningless to you but not to me. Yes I lost and you won. Life goes on but I am tired of hearing about how fair percentages were. This is what it means for me. Retire at SN 1560 vs SN 360 quite a difference.

Looks like they listened. This just came across the email "...The MEC administration approached Flight Operations management last week and asked that they reconsider their decision to vaccinate DC-9 pilots. Flight Operations, after consultation with Network Planning, reevaluated the issue and has revised previous guidance. Effective immediately, the requirement for DC-9 pilots to receive the yellow fever vaccination has been rescinded. The requirement remains in effect for all other pilots. DC-9 pilots who transition to other fleets in the future will be required to receive the yellow fever vaccination at that time."
1234,
Thanks for the heads up! It looks like the email was sent out 10 minutes after I posted. Great job MEC! I feel better now.

I will say this...the fNWA guys I've met over the last year, with one exception, are outstanding and are guys I would fly with at any point, any where, at any time. Ive flown with fDAL guys that are tools as well. I have come to understand that we are all cut from the same cloth yet come from two different cultures. Not as different as some would have us believe, but different still. In fact, what really amazes me is that a lot of the guys I flew with and loved in the Air Force are now seeing things from a totally different perspective. Its how it works, apparently. I thought flying safe was flying safe. Apparently, we can fly safely and do it differently.
I look forward to the marriage of NWA and DAL. It had to happen, its a good thing for all of us in the end, and its rocking the world for other companies...which is also a good thing. I am, however, frikkin sick and tired of the beeyatching about this merger from both sides. It has sucked for both sides. I fly with fDAL guys who can't get over it. I read on this forum fNWA guys who, apparently, can't get over it. For God's sake, and for our collective sakes, can we just accept it, show up, sign in, fly a beautiful jet and make happy?
I sincerely understand the angst of a former noble carrier who no longer can use their call sign or flash their colors. I do. I'd be ****ed as well if it were me. Its not. Its us. Come on guys. As I tell my 3rd grader Nu, buck up. Life's hard, but its only hard if you make it hard.
OK. Everybody hold hands, break out a nice glass of Scotch, and crank up some Adam Ant!!
Good gosh did I miss a bunch of b!tching and complaining today.
The better solution will come to fruition in the long run... we just got SOC for crying out loud. It took well over a year just for that. Are you really thick enough and short sighted enough to think that all the IT issues (there are PLENTY) will be worked out overnight?
We have 2 very different carriers that both had strong and weak points.
Go have a beer or something and kick the dog...geez.

In your quest to get to self help(which I'm not opposed to) mediation, THEN a proffer of binding arbitration are necessary to get to the ultimate goal. Oh and that takes at least a year or more after exhausting the negotiations. Or do you just want to fast forward to a great contract by the amendable date? I wish it were that simple

A proffer of arbritration is just that...a proffer. All one side has to do is say no, and it's done. When it comes to binding arbitration, I would hope our side would be the one to say no, and quickly.
