Now there's something I agree with 100%. I think the next few years will be rough, but in the long run we have to potential to be a powerhouse of an airline.

You guys are the kings of jumping to conclusion as long as it trashes NWA pilots in some way. When it comes to jumping on scraps, hynenas have got nothing on some of you ladies.

Carl
Uhhh, seriously?

East Asia is weak, nobody is talking about today. It's about future bookings.

Indeed it is a merger of equals. No airline saved the other. That even serves more purpose to a Delta type list, for NWAs would punish Delta pilots disproportionally at the benefit of NWA pilots. This is expressly forbidden in ALPA merger policy.

I can go all day. Is there a point?

First, re-read the cross examination on 11/15 pages 2524 to 2536 and see if you still feel the same way.

Second, post in the merger section where this is being discussed.

This thread is for information for the good of the whole group.

How about this:

For the latest and greatest about Delta, see this thread.

To pick a fight, between NWA and DAL pilots, see any of the following threads under Mergers and Acquisitions: SLI Compromises, Green Book Guys, We're not THAT different, NWA SLI Shananigans, Retirement comparisons - DAL vs NWA, SLI negotiations have broken down, etc.

To pick a real fight, with real punches, drawing real blood, please wait until: you're in the Gatwick hotel crew room, have a surprise mixing of crews on a hotel van or have another similiar opportunistic chance to bring up the words: "we saved you" to someone of a different uniform.

And I apologize for calling someones comments laughable.

Gee. That's funny. I can say the same thing about YOUR group.

ACL, you have lots of good info and we certainly thank you for it but I think you are wrong here in regards to this AE. The only pilots subject to displacement on this AE are the CVG 76/75 category pilots. If too many of those displace into other categories, then there will be another displacement bid to fix that. But for right now, only the CVG 76 category is being directly affected and there are more new positions (ER) than displacements. Some of the displaced pilots will use this as an opportunity to get a paid move to another base, but most will likely bid into the new ER category. The real problem for CVG pilots will be if too many pilots outside the CVG 76 category get bids for the new ER category, DAL will cancel that category and downsize the current domestic category. A follow-up displacement bid would certainly follow that.

Yes, the trickle down effect will eventually get to the junior pilots in category, but there will be a posted displacement notice for that. Never-the-less, always have something in your choices for displacement, just in case.

Your loads to Asia are 98% plus, but your Europe loads are weak?

I was kind of hoping this thread would get to 10,000 posts. Now it has degraded into stupidity. Please shut it down.
