I'm afraid you could be right. DennyCrane assures me that most fDAL pilots don't share this low expectations Stockholm Syndrome, but if this board is any indication, Denny might be too optimistic.

I don't think so. C2K had 73N rates at $256 an hour, which is substantially more than SWA's current rate.

You're right. Still, a decent start to get the 73N pay up to that at least.

257 an hour at top out would approximate UPS's top end scale at the end of their raises I believe. Stand by for those that know more than me supplying corrections.

We're not talking about the entire pilot cost. We're talking about the INCREASE required to bring wages to above Southwest - thus making us industry leading. Not the total pilot payroll, the increase. And THAT number is relatively small. Yet we still have a ton of posters here crying that we just can't do it.

My sincere hope is that these guys aren't really pilots, but some cubicle inhabitant in ATL.

Carl,

Are you talking about pegging our 73N rates to match or better theirs? I'm assuming so.

Don't know if you know much about their work rules, but they bring in a rediculous amount of credit, too. It's extremely easy there to bring home 80 or 90 hours of credit due to their rigs and rules.

Take that, some better DC stuff, 28k improvement, and other sundries and that sounds like an appropriate contract.

How to negotiate it is a whole nother animal.
Step one is to open for it.

Step two is to give smelling salts to most of the people on this forum who will faint for fear that we'll ruin the company.

We pay 168 per flt hr
They pay 206 per flt hr

A 38 dollar an hr difference.

That would be about a 23% jump in this years rates.

That would pay a 777A or a 744A 257 per flt hr if that was your goal.

That's what I was assuming. The top end pay would approximate the UPS top end at the end of their raises in 2012.

It's nice to get a paycheck of $0. I'm on family leave right now, but I still flew two trips and had vacation in January. I should get paid almost 55 hours. Is there something in the contract saying I don't get a regular check in my situation? What happened to $1300?

I agree. The kicker for me is how much is too much? As in how much would be the max you could ask for and not stalemate the whole process?
