Since linking to pics seems fashionable (of the side/underboob variety, anyway), here's a nice little chart that shows how the US government makes sure no passengers with a serious communicable disease (like, say, TB) gets on your airplane:




(post in reference to the TB infected patient who sailed through the TSA checkpoint to fly on a US Airways flight despite being on a CDC generated DNB list. TB patient flies to SFO despite air travel ban)

If we hire in the near future. Does anyone have any pull from ASA back in the day to get this Jake the bachelor an interview. Wife likes the show. Think it would be a good pr for Delta. I think Jake would rather fly a widebody one day than a 73 his whole life.

Good point on the economy-the recovery cant happen with 10-17 percent unemployment.

The talking heads cant ever get it right they have skin in the game. I have downside support in the 6500 range and am hedged on that with an etf FAZ (not advice, check it out, dyodd)

commodities are down due to dollar strength vs yen euro pound. silver etf AGQ is in super volitility mode and should make a turn north in about a week auto sell at 65 is set already - we'll see tho because its always succeptible to emotional speculation. no advice intended just a solid hedge against the cliff.

In regards to the economy... I'm watching the numbers here, and I see a pause or correction if you will, not a full on dump. Like bar, I'm a numbers guy and I don't buy into the other crap. Unemployment does have to come back out of the crapper a bit more for better recovery.

Who's with me to start a full on marketing campaign for the cat carrier??

Wasn't the 3rd quarter 2009 GDP 3.25% but then revised downward twice until frankly it was nothing but government spending that accounted for the rise? I'm not thinking 5.7% will hold.

And does the unemployment numbers count astronauts this week?

Well, I think the economy will either improve in the summer (highly unlikely) or improve majorily in the fall, say around November. Thats my bet.

Yes. And we'll use them heavily and one day retire them to the desert where the crew will be flown back to ATL on a DC-9. Or DC-9-88. Just trying to be realistic.

Problem is that C2k12 will come, people will get all fired up, DALPA will sell us on why we have to accept a mediocre contract, we will approve it, then everyone gets ****ed for another 4-6 years.
