Your analogy was reaching. It sounded as though you might have some personal issues with AirTran. They have problems like every young company. They also have plenty of sub 30 Captains making 150k. Hows that working out for you ?

Did an AirTran pilot 'help' someone close to you ... repeatedly ? Is that the reason for the animosity ? Did it give you a pain in your tummy. Did it make your chubby little fingers twitch on your keyboard

I'll come back and visit again in a few months.
I read no animosity whatsoever in his post. It was his analysis on why AAI stock went down.

I read a lot of childishness in your post however. Use the next couple of months to work on that for when you return.

I know buddy. Stating the seniority not the longevity step.

Did it yesterday with United. Use your 6-digit DAL number. Worked Fine

So, how come we have hiring rumors with the above stated?

How many CVG ER guys will down bid and how many will hit I75 north for DTW or commute to ___? That's the question.
Management, due to the nature of their jobs cannot and will not make "speculative comments" on events that have not been signed. For example, JAL. Lots of stuff hinges on it, but they cannot speculate one way or the other even if they know the out come or what will happen until the deal is official. These guys are lawyers and know the need to answer questions and frame the briefing around the current parameters, not what could be the parameters in 10 minutes. Quirky yes, but it avoids lawsuits.

The will state that it will be "good" for us, but going any farther probably will violate a few NDA's.

Just my .02 of course.

I think that was an inevitable part of the 727 learning process

It's hard to sit back when a guy slanders an entire group as weak. Especially when you've seen the extreme sacrifices that were made in the name of spreading the pain as equally as possible in a hideous environment. I do realize I'm a little short in the tact department sometimes.

The reference point for my statement is two squadron buddies hired at each company in the late 90s. One was furloughed twice, received no longevity increases while furloughed, and saw the writing on the wall with respect to the bottom part of the list with the Compass agreement. Very few of his class are still on the seniority list. You may say that was management, but the DL was facing the same challenges. On the good side, senior members kept their hard earned retirements.

The guy at the other company saw his group fight for longevity pay and saw some members (deadzoners) endure huge sacrifices that they'll never recover from. He realized the entire time his group was going out of it's way to spread the pain as equally as possible many times going out of it's way to take care of the most vulnerable members.

We've sat in a little cocoon here at DL but I think we have to remember the combined group includes many who have spent a career fighting their fellow pilots. I'd like to see as unified a group as possible. When you label a major portion of a group as weak it begs the question, what's your agenda?

You know he'd win office in TN no problem but in sure he'd been miserable in government. Now imagine if another shoe in, Mike Ditka, had not listened to his wife and run for Senate? The world wouldve been a very different place. I'll leave it at that.*

Wha? Bha? Nooooo.... Im about to go postal on ya tsquare.... and by postal i mean im going to slap up some posters on the wall of Lane Kiffin!! Yeah I shouldve written what I wanted to write when I posted it and that i had not heard of this Japanese paper before so I'm looking for more but I didn't. I forgot about it as I went to sleep thinking HA! I stayed up later than 80, but I woke up this morning to sadly find he cheated.*

I didn't read any antimosity in my post either. Just saying one airline is status quo yet slightly profitable and one is not profitable but trying to take over the world. The latters stock initially went up while the profitable one did not. That's it, period. The analogy? One is a 23 year old down at the local best buy who has a job, is content, makes money, not really trying to go anywhere. The other guy went to college and is driven to network, take risks and so on. Guess who people want to take a bet on. But I guess a drive by poster was excited to be offended, my bet is if I push the right buttons he'll post again by days end but why bother?*

Not that I'm looking for sympathy but writing on an iPhone it's autocorrect function can drive you batty.

Default Training/Conversion

I guess Crew Planning had a very optimistic but un-attainable plan for training.
My training and conversion got pushed back by 5 mos.
Who gets trained first? AE's, MD's or VD's?
