Yeah. I think it's important for people not to be afraid to post their views on here. There is nothing worse than "chilled speech."

UAL and AirTran topped their estimates and their shares fell. Delta comes in below estimates and our shares rise on happy talk.

I understand institutional selling once the "good news" has been released (as has happened with Apple today). But how Delta stock doubled in value while we sustained serious drops in revenue and a loss does surprise me.

I've not understood the market since mid 2007 and it makes no more sense to me today. How are buyers evaluating stocks?

New, I think he is toying with us now.

But because of your bravery I am no longer too ashamed to admit I have no clue either. I have a problem. I am not smart and I am irresponsible. I go to Bar's website and its no better. Its like Bar facts and figures and there is no airline vodoo economics for dumbies. 80 is right. Really, we need Bar to post and then somewhere in the conversations that follow it might get dumbed down enough or the conversation will change.

Perfect example in the above post:

I don't even know what I'm supposed to be mad about.

Some of those connecting the dots have finished the big picture and think it is a black and white image of themselves framed by a targeting reticule.

Having thought the same thing before, there are two choices. Climb in a hole and close the bunker door, or keep on running. It is harder to hit a moving target.

Maybe, its because AirTran looks flat. There is no upswing with them. They eek out a profit but they have nothing of value for the long term, kind of like a guy who has a job and makes money.

Meanwhile Delta comes across as the guy who has taken out the student loans, who has invested his time studying and network, who has been agressive and made the right friendships and now has what it takes in terms of assets and size for a major upswing. And looking back in 2009 we made more money then we spent but of course we lost on our investments and bets but we're where we want to be and right now the thing we cannot control, the market, is improving.

And everyone is gravitating towards us.

Thats my guess.

New,
What Bar is doing is taking what I stated a few steps farther, but putting a polish on it I sometimes lack.

What he is stating is that NWA the airline was in a contraction mode long before, during and after the merger. As he points out those are the facts. DAL on the other hand has only shrunk due to the economy. The trend line (Q) is in a relatively linear line in the negative trend. English: you were shrinking, and are continuing to shrink. That is it no voodoo there, just Form 41 data.

Do not let Bar fool you, I am always impressed when I talk to him. Eloquent, well versed, and except for his fear towards the end of this year, we agree on a great many things.

Clearly directed at someone I know, and yes, dot connecting and taking a position have earned him a target so to speak.

I assume you mean a targeting reticule like this.....
