Back in 07 you could expect to pay as much as $5M over the new $60M price tag to just get a used one, if you could find one, so as to not wait years in line. Today, same 03-05 models have fallen to $35-$40M. Early 2000 GVs are even better, low $20M range. Thats a SAV depression. I wonder if its still $75K for initial GV training.

So ACL, per the conversations on this thread about the C-Series. It looks as if EMB is nimbling at or possibly about to make a go at it to compete with the C-Series. It might be real or it might be posturing. I bring this up here for one reason, we just heard today no new NEW planes. We know the 90 is being brought in -30/-40 replacement and the -50s are staying for a while. So hopefully not a net loss of positions at DAL. But that doesn't mean no new planes in 2012 for a real -30/-40 replacement that is similiar in size, i.e. a pilot growth plane.

Is the C-Series and DAL possibilities dead in light of the big 90 grab? Or does the Embraer move possibly show signs that the C-Series is being seriously considered and EMB needs to respond? Or that EMB is just trying to split interest and demand? I don't know, just wondering where the C-Series (i.e. the most likely 100 seat replacement) sits with DAL.

-5.7% increase in flying this summer vs last summer.
-With the up tick in cross Atlantic bookings and the new AC coming it hints at possible hiring. They will offer the pilots on furlough bypass(approx 350) the first shot at re entry prior to hiring. Since it takes a min of 9 months to get newbies up to speed the AE in NOV will be a tell all. Because of the increase in domestic flying, if the Atlantic bookings continue to grow we will be short handed.
-The AE in May/June will be relatively small but will account for the remainder of displacements from the 30/40s being parked. They still have 1/2 to go on those displacements.
-The NOV AE will include AC base changes
