My teeth are still chattering! I did get the ground speed down to 25 knots doing stalls, haha. Not a record, but that airplane has a higher stall speed than some others.
So 80, what were you doing in a TwinStar? Did some instructing in those at Falcon Field a couple of years ago. Quite the economical twin with the turbo diesels. Can be a real handful if one of the motors stops.

Funny Captain, former C-5 guy and a riot.

I prefer to leave mine on the moving sidewalk or escalators. That way, the people behind you cannot escape. BWAHAHHAHHAHA!

Enclosed cockpit, long legs, evolved gasses... Need I say more?

Airline Introduces Cuddle Class Seating to the Economy Section

In the ongoing game of creative airline seating, Air New Zealand is introducing a welcome seating option on the company’s new long haul airplanes for passengers in the economy section. Some seats in the back of the plane will have a foot rest of sorts that can be raised like a recliner chair to create a platform for sleeping.

Here at Autopia we have reported on several interesting airline seating ideas. From the ultra creative that has yet to get off the drawing board, to the simplest of ideas being used on flights today. Unfortunately, many of the more comfortable seating options are limited to the front of the airplane where first and business class passengers sit in relative comfort.

So it comes as welcome news that when Air New Zealand takes delivery of its new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft this fall, passengers in the back of the airplane will be able to enjoy the possibility of laying down to sleep. The catch is the lie down seating turns three seats into a small bed. That means it probably works best if you’re not very tall, or traveling with kids, or lucky enough to have the unlikely situation of you and your traveling companion enjoying the seats to yourselves as pictured in the promotional photo above from the airline (who do not appear to be very tall). Oh, and your traveling companion is a person you want to cuddle with, not the person you don’t like from sales but have to travel with anyhow.

The 40 is actually the "Diamond Star." It's basically their answer to the Cirrus. Nice plane! It's got a G1000 with synthetic vision and full VNAV capable autopilot. Complete EFB on board, XM NEXRAD weather package uplink (radar, sigmets, airmets, all metars and tafs...), and a 4'11" asian massage specialist that makes all your landings happy.

So far beyond what we have in our cockpits!

I've always wanted to fly the Twin Star (DA42). Sure looks neat, and I gotta say I wondered how that thing performed when a motor decided to take a nap.
