He tried to stop a debate by saying "management knows who all you guys are...and you are about to learn a painful lesson that you'll never forget, etc." Complete threatening BS, but it sure has worked for the folks on this thread.
Read it more as watch out, DAL is going to look and act more like old NWA than old DAL. I think many share that concern, and DALPA's ability to deal with that sort of hostile management.
Maybe I'm just too old and have fought too many battles against management, but it seems to me that our current crop of leaders have a profound fear of fighting. They simply cannot accept the possibility of a negative consequence. But they can't outwardly discuss how afraid they are to fight, so they develop terms like: "a cooperative relationship with management." That sounds so much better than the real truth.

So there it is, the answer to the question that I've asked twice, which was: is there EVER a time where the majority of DAL pilots would use a self help weapon against their own management team? The answer is not only a resounding no, but apparently all it takes is a few posts from an anonymous internet character to stop any debate on the subject.
So I wish you all the best folks. Continue to discuss whether management will buy more airplanes, or hire more pilots. But most importantly, pray that management is always nice to us. Because in my opinion, this pilot group does not have the will to fight management if that's what it comes to.

I was only able to catch a small part of the dog & pony in ATL, but one thing SD said struck me. He said we'll be hearing continuing talk of capacity remaining flat, but pointed out that we staff according to pilot block hours which were going to be 5.7% higher than last summer.
So if capacity remains flat and we (DAL) are flying more pilot hours, my limited dot connecting ability combines this information with some other points made by others here recently and spits out ----- 3 (what??!!)
Ok, dot connecting computer seems broke so intuition says we're taking back more flying!

There will most definitely be movement at all the above bases and more. I know guys that commute all over the system out of SEA and PDX. There are alot of VERY senior guys in both seats that commute from the PNW to all over the country.
I've heard that the ER will be based here but there are no plans for a narrowbody base. SEA 330 time to remain flat for the next year.

Ok. Secondary vacation bid are out. Between pri and sec bids I got what I wanted. Now, I convert in March due to a reinstatement and the note on the conversion list says "Must rebid by 0800 on the 1st day of the prior month"-Feb for me. Looking in icrew I see where it allows me to rebid, how do I find out what weeks are open? Also, do I bid all 4 weeks at once or do the pri, sec, tri, quat, game? Thanks

Also, even if you do not get what you want on the rebid, be aware of the vacation moveup option. With the AE bids and movement caused by them over the next year, you very well might be able to get what you want later. A couple of years ago when I swapped categorys I had 2 weeks in summer which moved to 2 weeks in winter. I bid a moveup and got 2 weeks starting on 24 December. It was my first choice on the moveup bid. Good luck!
