Shouldn't the purpose of a forum be to have an exchange of ideas? Good, bad or otherwise, which is like any conversation. Sure, sometimes individuals go off the deep end, but don't we all? There is not a single individual on this board that I wouldn't have a problem with going out for dinner and beverages...they may not want to go with me, but thats ok too.

I don't find a lot of reasons to enter into the increasingly acrimonious discussions this thread is full of. The sick leave, call in honest, jumpseat, union solidarity disagreements should not be in a public forum. What I believe is a valid reason for expending a personally earned benefit is of no one else's business. And what you may do is none of my business. Talk of union actions on a public forum is like fixing dinner and taking a dump in the same sink. Good Luck! And the sanctimonious pep talk vs. habitual shirker defenses degrades the common purpose of thiis forum. I'm about done with this thread. It should be closed.

Just don't look at it anymore and take your "lawyer wanna be" talk elsewhere. The ones that state their opinion on here is fully legal to do so. People like you would probably accept minimum wage and pay for your own hotel and taxi. You are a pitty to the industry if I understand what you are writing on here. No problem looser, just promise to not post again on this thread. We post here about anything from cheerleaders to 37 new 747-400, but we stay positive and open for new positive news and opportunities for all of all us. Take your bad news to somewhere else where somebody cares, we don't.
