Not to be out done at 1:18 you can see New and Carl exacting revenge on some poor sap who happens to wander into the line of fire with a poorly formed opinon on how to advance the ball.

By the way, if Im not mistaken, this is the game on which the movie Invictus is based. New and Carl win.

Pads are for Ps. You're right. It is the greatest game ever devised by man.

To avoid another knife fight on this board, Im afraid I have to edit my post for accuracy. Due to the poor video quality and the fact I did not have the sound turned up I mistakenly implied that the green team are the South African Springboks. This is a horrendous insult to the Irish, savages though they may be. That said, I find it further necessary to swap the names of the various characters mentioned heretofore. It turns out that Carl was in fact representative of the noble Kiwis furthering mutual understnding. Conversely Slow and cohort waylaid New in typical, heinous Irish fashion as he too lead a virtuous All Black charge down the field of post merger relations. Bloody Irish.

Nor anyone that's breastfeeding. With the number of people nursing grudges around here, there should be plenty of waivers!

Would be interesting to ask for a waiver regarding this issue.

I suppose when I referred to other pilots as "thieves" that was far too strong and all-encompassing. I'm not talking about guys who have sick kids at home, a wife who says, "you better stay home and figure out this marriage or I'm out of here tomorrow" or someone who has gone the extra ten miles to commute to work, only to see 3 RJs cancel, followed by a blizzard in MSP. I'm talking about the following, which I actually heard on numerous occasions, especially in years past:

"I sicked out of my last trip, because I got that captain's eye disease: I just couldn't see going to work."

or

"I call in sick once a quarter whether I need to or not. ******* the company."

I'm no koolaid drinker, and I'm the first to admit the far worse thievery on the management side of the house. But don't we need to be better than them?

Fact is that we had a small group of sick leave abusers--small, but unfortunately notable on the bottom line. I truly wish ALPA had found a better way to let the company hammer them, rather than just knee-jerk defending them, and then ultimately punishing ALL of us for the misactions of a few. If I fault ALPA anywhere on the sick leave thing, it is there.

And yes, I also live in the real world. Input holiday pay, and have a better commuting policy (like DAL-N premerger) and sick leave use will go down. Whether that "should" be the case or not, doesn't really matter. It is an impartial observation.
As usual I think we agree more than we disagree!

Most of us are responsible enough to know if it's "right" to call in for a particular situation. We trust each other's judgement completely when deadheading or commuting, so why not trust each other's judgement on when to use a sick call?

We have enough challenges in the coming years with contract negotiations, scope/JV issues, etc to be attacking and questioning each other's integrity.

That's my long way of saying kumbaya!

New precautions for YF vaccine use
Adults
60 years of age

Age 60 years is a precaution for YF vaccine administration, especially for persons who have not previously received YF vaccine. A recent analysis of adverse events passively reported to VAERS during 2000-2006 indicates that persons 60 years of age are at increased risk for serious adverse events after vaccination, compared with younger persons. If travel is unavoidable, the decision to vaccinate travelers aged 60 years needs to weigh the risks and benefits of the vaccination in the context of their destination-specific risk for exposure to YF virus.
