Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Agree. Plus, what is killing those guys now it they are on reserve as the green guys who were previously on reserve (under a block/reserve system) are senior to them and now push them down onto reserve. IE the green guys were on the 747 as reserves due to insufficient bidders but senior to the ninja blockholders.
No, they aren't. My understanding is they are "blue" (like me, post NWA/Republic merger dudes).
But, like any good lawyer, they are duty bound to argue their clients argument.
I'm with A330 on this, a very small but smart and vocal number of guys who have been at this since they were in their 20s. In reality, they actually have always made a Delta style argument........DOH means nothng, here is what we had premerger and it's ours.
Check, I'm not saying I agree with them. But, read their argument closely and I think you'll see what I mean.

Thanks for that.
My beef is with the NWA Merger Committee i guess. They are gonna burn through the million dollar assessment in six months. We're all going to be broke if this crap continues for 5 years at the same pace.
The committee needs to grow a set and stand up to these "Ninjas".
Deny their damn claims!! They are blatantly frivoulous.
I can tell you the flaw in the claim they filed real easy. I can also tell you the flaw in the claim idea I just posted.
The committee needs to make some tough calls and preserve our money.
Their legal "duty" does not include arbitrating every t cross and i dot.
They have power to deny claims in good faith.
Check,
Overall, I agree with ya.
For your claim, you have to pick a color. I have squater's rights to "blue" and of course red and green are already gone as well.

Almost 25 years later and it's still sorting out. Brilliant plan, Mr. Roberts.. just brilliant!
It's going to take another few years of bids on our system to get it sorted out, too. Do I hear going on 30 years of infighting? Going once? Going twice??
By the way, all this drummer talk....
Any of you metalheads out there? Living Sacrifice anyone? Soilwork? Hatebreed? In Flames??
On a different note- I gotta agree with buzzpat, that new One Republic CD is great... nice followup to the first. Been listening to Owl City a lot lately as well. It's mostly electronic stuff, but the guy can write!

The term "ninjas" was used for those former NW Orient (Red Book) pilots that became DC-10 and 747 Captains in their mid to late 30's as a result of the Roberts Award, they have been out of seniority wide body captains for a long time now.
With the separate Block/Reserve category system that NWA used, most of the Red guys held blocks as per the ratios while the Green Book guys were mostly holding reserve even though they were senior to the Red guys. Fast forward to the merger, the Block/Reserve separate categories are no longer and all of a sudden the Green guys are where they were supposed to be in the first place and the Red ninjas are now on Reserve.
I'm all for No Fences, these claims and arbitrations are going to split the group when in fact we need to come together and stay together as we face the challenges ahead including Contract 2012.

What is the flaw in both? Intent?

OK.. I'll give my hatred of all things Kiffin a rest (yay.. I can hear it now).
Nice summary of musical differences between the sexes. I will never understand the popularity of American idol for this very reason. I guess it's watching the train wreck of a human being when cowell belittles anyone he feels isn't "worthy" of his blessing as having talent.
I'm not sure that I agree totally (and maybe my impression of what you are saying is incorrect) that newer bands are not as good as older ones like Rush... I play music too, and I definitely appreciate the technical aspects of Rush (among others), but time is always kind to music and those that play it. God forbid that is the case with...ugh.. rap, but I guess anything is possible. Actually for the past year or so I have been listening to bluegrass, and since you seem to appreciate technical abilities and talent... give it a try sometime. Some of those people can flat out play...

Wasn't so much of a "older" vs. "newer" comparison as it was an observation that some truly great bands will never be hugely popular because their music doesn't appeal to the masses. Actually, Rush is a pretty poor example of that because they did have a few big radio hits in the late 70s and early 80s. I was really just rambling, as is my habit late at night.
As for bluegrass, I couldn't agree more. I am amazed that anyone can move their fingers as fast as some of those people do.
Check out MGMT as well. Two nerds who have put together an incredible sound.
