Super, keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better. The truth is that Alabama played Texas. Early in the game an Alabama player hit McCoy hard enough and in the right spot to knock him out of the game. It's not as if he was struck by lightning. This was part of the game.

Furthermore, you have know idea how the game would have progressed had he not been hurt. He could have played like Joe Montana and Johny Unitis and let Texas to glory but he also just as easily played like he did against Nebraska and throw five picks and spent the day on his butt. We will never know.

Remember that If IF and BUTs were candy and nuts, we'd all have a merry Christmas!

PS. LOL about you av. Did you photoshop that or did you find it?

Training for the following month is normally posted by the 5th of the prior month before you bid.

The problem they run into setting up pilot bases vs FA bases is the potpourri of equipment that will make up those 30-40 flights per day. It may be 6 or 8 different types and categories for us, and the mix will change monthly. Mix doesn't matter for the FAs.

I realize the pilots living in DFW don't mind if all their trips begin and end with a DH, but that's not how mgt sees it.

So much for that fleet simplification move we were on a few years back.

Well you did. All the poster did was list some aircraft on both sides of the house that were in decline and plussing up. Then proposed then questioned about whether there is a message to the groups who are going through the mess of getting representation.

The postere wasn't arrogant. The poster never said anything to the effect of one was better than the other.

I believe it was also in reponse to the IFS memo on the DeltaNet website.

So yeah, I think you jumped the gun there.

That's just Carl, he's still sore over Northwest Airways losing the mail contracts after the Spoils Conference. I can just see him sitting in the local equivalent of the Fire Empire ruminating over the Air Mail Scandal and how better the trips were on the Boeing 377 vs the DC-6.

It's possible to do, when you ignore half of what you post. In this case, you overlooked the second sentence. The poster was wondering whether the other unionized groups were getting squeezed. That's the context in which the remark was made. To your credit, this thread moves so fast, you probably accidentally latched on to some perceived offense, and didn't read further into the replies.

Of course, it doesn't help if you're springloaded to see certain things.

...

It was said here before that we all benefit from this merger, and we do. I wouldn't want to be here stand-alone, having ramped up international, in the middle of a huge drop in demand. And you didn't want to be here, stand-alone, to find out about the future of Tokyo, ANC, and the DC-9.

Together we can make a more compelling case to JAL. Together we can actually better feed Asia and the Atlantic. Together we need the DC-9's more than Compass, etc. ANC, unfortunately, is gone. You can argue that it was only axed post-merger if it makes you feel better, but I think the SLI hearings cast a different light.

Let's just be grateful we're not furloughing, and that we have some critical mass together.

Question,

When I look at my schedule in eCrew my credit for the month dropped after my last 4 day. I am a lineholder, and was re-assigned 3 times in my first 2 days of my last 4 day. Aren't I protected for the value of the 4 day? Plus, they added training to my schedule. Shouldn't my total credit go up?

Yes, and one guy audits the skeds. Watch it. It should change in a few days. Look at your time card for the month. What is your GS trigger. That is you pay!
