No I dont at all...it's just my observation, opinion, and what I hear from passengers. I commute to and from JFK and if what I hear from passengers on those commutes is true, we are in trouble. I mean, I'm sure other airlines get the same complaints but our terminal issues are ridiculous. Again, just take a stroll through any other Airlines Terminal at JFK and there is a HUGE difference in the layout, the look, and the ease at which you can get from the curb to the jetway. I will state this again, just my opinion.....but if I see this, I am willing to bet paying, tired, and International customers see it as well.

No, but they will go to JetBlue because it is faster to check in, get through security, and find your gate in their new terminal. If Delta wasn't seeing people flee to other carriers because of the terminal issue, they wouldn't be spending alot of cash to fix the problem. It is obviously a big black eye for Delta and people will go next door to something nicer if the prices are the same.
they go to Jet Blue because they have a superior product in many markets to ours. From the web site to the terminal to the TVs on the airplanes, which by the way are much more comfortable and bigger than the CrappyRegionalJets we fly all over. Their prices in markets they directly compete with us are either close or better. (based on a very limited sample size) Wifi on our domestic flights was a huge improvement, however.
When I commute and people tell my how much they love Jet Blue I tell them sure, if you want to go to FL for $99 they are great but you can't fly to Europe on JB, or Asia or South America, or Africa. I don't know about their business model and how they are financially but their product is first rate and without that no business can compete.

Japan to announce JAL restructuring plan
OKYO (AP) -- Japan will announce a restructuring plan for money-losing Japan Airlines Corp. on Jan. 19, reports said Friday, as Asia's biggest airline teeters on the brink of bankruptcy.
Transport Minister Seiji Maehara confirmed the date during a meeting with Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, public broadcaster NHK and Kyodo News agency said. Officials at the ministry and the prime minister's office could not confirm the reports.
The date for revealing details of the restructuring is the same day the airline, known as JAL, will reportedly file for bankruptcy protection.
JAL has suffered amid the global slowdown, competition from Japanese rival All Nippon Airways Co. and a spate of safety lapses that tarnished its image.
Its debt stood at 1.5 trillion yen ($16.5 billion), according to JAL's earnings reports in November last year. Japan's top business daily Nikkei and the major daily Asahi have said JAL's debt exceeded assets by 800 billion yen.
The bankruptcy filing is part of the restructuring plan being hammered out by the government-backed corporate turnaround body, which is responsible for JAL's reconstruction.
The restructuring plan also calls for about 15,600 job cuts -- a third of JAL's work force -- and will require the airline, once a proud flag-carrier, to cut the number of flights at home and abroad, according to Kyodo.
While JAL is heading toward bankruptcy, its access to Asia is a prized asset for foreign airlines.
Delta Air Lines Inc. -- the world's biggest airline operator -- and its rival American Airlines are courting JAL with massive financial offers as the U.S. carriers seek to expand their Asian networks.
Delta and its SkyTeam partners have offered $1 billion, including $500 million in cash.
American Airlines, which wants to keep JAL within the oneworld family, and its alliance partners said they are ready to inject $1.4 billion cash into the Japanese airline, up from a previous $1.1 billion offer.
JAL is reportedly to be removed from the Tokyo Stock Exchange following the bankruptcy filing, triggering massive sell orders during the week.
Shares in JAL dropped 12.5 percent Friday to close at just 7 yen -- a staggering plunge from JAL's closing price of 213 yen at the beginning of 2009.

Someone please tell me why Delta set up our Flexible spending cards in a way that they CANNOT be used at the doctors office? What is the purpose of being given a Debit card to access your flex account if you cant use it? Its a huge waste of time and resources for everyone to force us to have to pay out of pocket and have to wait on a reimbursement. At my previous company they gave us the card and it could be used for everything medical related and when the account runs out the card stops working. That was easy and painless, does Delta have to do everything retro?
