Are you sure? The last DOT statistics I saw had Southwest as #1 ... even when you added Delta and Northwest together.

Am I missing something?

Burn Notice

You are probably correct as I have no facts to state otherwise. And I completely agree with the fact that all we need is more alley space. A nicer "look" would definitely not hurt though. American's and JetBlue's terminal is quite literally a different world than ours at JFK. I'm sure it will take awhile, but we have to start (I know we have already) taking steps to improve our product out of JFK.

It's not right to land 20 minutes early then be setting the parking brake at the gate an hour and a half late with people misconnecting because of a cramped alley. Something needs to be done.
Soooo... they will go to JetBule because they have a prettier terminal than us..... M'Kay.... got any empirical data to back that up?

With all the talk about additional 747's and A330's does anyone have a time line on their arrival. If the JAL alliance won't begin until 2011 I don't see the need for more wide bodies until 1st quarter 2011 or am I missing something?

No, but they will go to JetBlue because it is faster to check in, get through security, and find your gate in their new terminal. If Delta wasn't seeing people flee to other carriers because of the terminal issue, they wouldn't be spending alot of cash to fix the problem. It is obviously a big black eye for Delta and people will go next door to something nicer if the prices are the same.

Valid point. I do not see anything big wide and new showing up in 2010. That would be real quick. I guess it could happen though.

That said, they would be aircraft that are already produced or in service somewhere else. (See I am being non-committal ) In reality no one really knows yet.
