Is it your understanding that the project currently discussed with the Port Authority will be financed 100% by Port Authority debt? More specifically, is it your undrestanding there will be no additional debt taken on dy DAL in the terminal rebuild?

Thanks.

Are there any other architects or architecture grads out there? Send me a PM please...
But terminal 4 is new. I think, again from what was said a few months ago, the cheaper way was to have all of 2 plus lengthening (maybe) or refurbished, terminal 3 gone and link to the very nice terminal 4. Thats why we got terminal 3 removed from the national historical site but I guess we didn't get the saucer removed because I was told in JFK last week the saucer stays but terminal 3 goes.

I think they'd be wise not to have any one lane alley ways in whatever they do.

The way that they have stated it when they are asked publicly that appears to be the case. The Port Authority will finance it, and we will be paying them back though higher rates. This design is the lowest cost option we have. Demo is the biggest cost until we expand T-4.

In my new hire class when we got our aircraft assignments, he mentioned that he wanted to see how quickly the class breakdown was posted in the forums.....

I always wondered if he posted stuff just to mess with us.......

I would extend 4 straight out as far as possible, flaring out the end or widening the extension to allow for a food court, shops, etc. then move as much of the ops there. then build the connector to 2, redo the saucer and come out from it with an extension parallel to 4, since the ramp is wide enough for 2 way ops. once those two are done, you can concentrate on 2.

this would allow running the big birds out of 4 and 3, with a wide ramp between them. then you could use the smaller distance between 2 and 3 for smaller a/c.

Thanks. I would imagine that, in an ideal world, we'd pay it, design as we see fit, and not pay higher rates. Right now, I don't think we want to add any debt.

Heh. Good point. Who among us (on APC) hasn't tried to float a rumor just to see how quickly and how widely it can get circulated?

Seriously. That's 50% of the fun of trading in rumors in the first place.

No fun in that as it destroys your credibility. (Anonymously of course)

I agree, and just from reading the Tea Leaves I bet we want to spend our money available on other things first. We have lots of debt that needs to be paid down.

I was in your new hire class as a recallee.....I saw a little of that....it was NOT that way when I was hired. I am 99.9% confident that a new-hire class prior to yours must have acted like children so they attitudes changed.
