So, yesterday afternoon I was in the crew room still moaning about the 29 button pushes that are required to access the VRU system. A F/O overheard me and asked about how it was done. He hadn't used the system yet and was planning his first call. I offered to help him with all of the secret codes from the VRU Translation Chart that he would need in his password. That was, until he revealed that his password was "Boeing--"!!! Holy smokes Batman! A collective groan went up in unison from all who overheard this exchange. Needless to say, we advised him to change his password as soon as possible.
Ohh tell me he is a 320 F/O too.

Heyas,
Interesting question: Assuming frieghters (IE cargo only) DO reappear, will they be fenced?
The SLI says (in short) that 747s, and their replacement aircraft are fenced. Would a nominally unfenced aircraft become fenced on the basis of what it was replacing?
Warm up those checkbook, boys...someone way smarter than me will probably make that argument...

Am I missing something here? When I was initially hired, I had an alpha-numeric password for DBMS. I quickly learned that didn't work very well with the phone call in system. Changed my DBMS password to an 8 digit numeric password and have had no problems since. I don't understand the "29 button pushes." Am I missing something?

Your thoughts are dead on. This has been another pet peeve of mine for 20 years, but I've never been able to convince enough people it needs to change. The NWA methodology is much better, and wish it had been adopted. We shouldn't have to negotiate to get paid in a timely manner for work we've already performed.
Agreed. I much prefer two equal checks.

I don't know if this has been asked before so don't kill me, but is Delta going to hire pilots? My girlfriend says no she is a Delta FA, other sources say yes, whats up? If someone went to compass how long before they get into delta?
Just wait a little longer. Cannot get in to specifics, sorry.

I do not know when the old Delta pay chart was put into place, but if it was last done in 1986.... it should now be paid out at $5000 for inflation indexing.
