Agreed. First time around in 01 I would have been 25-26. Got the door slammed after C2K was signed and came here at 32. Lost a few slots to guys like 80, but in the end it does not matter. With an airline this big a 100 numbers does not mean much.

It doesn't matter how old you are when you get hired, it's the attrition/growth of the airline. I was 28 when I was hired at NWA in 1996, original retirement number of 12, within 200 numbers of DC-9 Captain after 5 years, etc. Now, 43, barely hanging on to DC-9 captain, retirement number of 140, won't hit 50% up the seniority list until I am about 50.

At least this year I finally made more than I did as a 320 FO in 2001.

Thanks.

That's like what I would tell the captains when going through all the phase changes: "You need to watch me close because I haven't been on the a/c that long and therefore don't know if I am doing the old way, the new way or my own way"

Yup. Youngest guy was 25 in our 08 class. Jerk.

Me too man. 30 years left is a long time, but 35 is even longer. Oy!

I think that'll be my standard brief once on the line.
