ACL, I'm curious what your definition of "very senior" is? Top 20/25%?

Well I retire #19.

Very senior is a matter of perspective. (More senior than I am now )

I think his definition is a lot more liberal than mine since I am senior to him (I am pretty sure), and those numbers don't make ME very senior... and I retire at the end of that period. (If I stay around that long)

No truer words were ever spoken (or written)!!! You can always be more senior........................unless you are number 1!!!!!

I know that by those numbers I will have to pass up seats so that I am not seat locked to get to the next senior one.

I am in the top 1-2% the last decade of my career. I am also not that young, just lucky on when I was hired.

Those are for the entire company by the way, not for my seniority.

After 2027 (52) I will hold what I want.

If you are MD'd, which I don't think you or super are, you will keep your vacation. For AE/VD and I think for reinstatement (check with the union on this one), you bid your vacation based on the category you hold on 31 Jan 2010. If you convert on April 1 2010, you will rebid all your vacations at once. If you convert any month after this and have bid a week or whatever before you convert, you take your vacation and have fun!

It all depends on what category you hold on 31 jan and when you convert.

Denny,

I'm being reinstated to the 320, & have training this month. So if I'm understanding you correctly my primary vacation award will be kept which is what I thought.

Thanks.

I'm building an Excel spreadsheet of 73NG LOD flashcards. Since I'm a bit slow, it has just now occurred to me that someone else may have already done this project. Anyone? Anyone?

There's probably one on the ALPA site. There's one for hte 76/75 LOD under the documents section (at least there used to be).

I still ended up making my own to help myself study- planning on doing the same for the fluff.

There's a great study guide available on DALPA that has all the gouge you'll ever need. Shoot me a PM and I'll send it to you. As far as LOD flashcards, I did the memory items and limitations and I can send you those, but not the LOD, too many items.
