Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Gotcha. Those would replace the -50's nicely.
Oh boy, you guys sure know how to take a reference and run with it.
That would be a great idea, but very expensive. I was referring to a non-replacement aircraft.

Not at all. I would love to see more 737's as that will be my new home until I reinstate or bid for the 88 in a newer base.
There have been reoccurring rumors of more of those jets, and IMO it makes sense to buy them. (Sense because new ones over the next five years would be hitting 20 years old when they would be replaced by the Next Gen 737 replacement using 2022 as the launch date that both Boeing and Airbus have stated, but this company does not seem to agree with that.)
They apparently cost a ton of money and they think that the 90 can fill the void. I personally think that will put us in a situation where we will be buying almost an entirely new narrow body feet. AMR seems to get that buying new 737's makes sense because the launch date of the replacement is far enough out (12-15 years) to break even on the purchase.
I do hope they hit that button, as a replacement for the 88's and 9's. From what I am gathering there is another jet that will fill that void for the nine. I am hoping that jet get announced in the next six to 12 months.
As for what I was referring to, it is more of a smaller announcement.

So are we going to resurect the 717 rumor that was floating around about a year ago?
