Scambo,

You bet, sorry I missed you out there. The Guam trip you guys do doesn't sound too good but that will change as we do more of them.

I think your right about the good deal coming to an end out there, I'll do them as long as I can

Hey Denny,

83-03 here also but at Columbus. Thunderbolt and Scorpio. I did 20. Sounds like you did 6 and out (if I do the math). I know some of your classmates. Some, unfortunately, didn't make it for all the wrong reasons. A couple of those guys were classmates at OTS with me. Quite the scandal, eh?

The lesson from the USAir merger is that the road to pain begins when one group has unrealistic expectations. I think the USAir list ended up pretty fair. USAir was never going to get DOH, yet they insisted on it, and expected it, right to the end.

IF, (big if in my opinin) we merge with AS, I would not want lifelong fences. Too much bad blood. But I certainly think 10 years to bid widebody captain and maybe 5 years to bid widebody FO, would be reasonable and fair.

I know that KLM has been doing the AMS - DFW about three to four times a week for the last two years or so. (My Dutch Students use it to get home)

ACL, they were flying this trip when you called cow town home?

The blown slides were on a 757. APU took some kind of a crap during the engine start. Passengers decided they needed to make the big decision to walk around on a wing. Nothing better than watching your engine roll back during a start and noticing a bunch of door lights.....W.T.F.???

Or is it the one today (yesterday now) on Concourse A in ATL? ACL mentioned something about slides being blown today.

I think we're going to have to remove the slides if this happens again. Show the people once and for all uncommanded evacs are not acceptable.

... sorry, just trying to prove why I'm not allowed to be a decision maker...

My wife and I just had a baby in November. PM me and I'll give you the scoop on how it worked out for me. Not much different that what other guys wrote but anyway - drop me a line if you want more details. The CPSC knew very little but gave me the right contact to talk to.
