Pan American Hotel
718 446 7676 Pickup and drop off LGA and JFK
Five Towns-dump no pickup LGA, JFK only
516 371 2600
Hilton Garden Inn JFK- Very nice, I think JFK
pickup only
718 322 4448
Rockville Executive Center. Pickup JFK
516 593 1600

If he is arriving JFK and its a short stay Five Towns or the Hilton. If he is coming into JFK and out of LGA the Pan American might be best.
If he is coming into JFK and will be staying with a late departure the next day from JFK the Rockville Inn would be best. They allow a 4 pm checkout and nice places to eat near by.

Thanks for the tip! He's coming into JFK and commuting out of LGA. I'll give the Pan American a call.

There was a 9-month lock until Jan 08. When they did away with the sim ride and went to the CD only differences training they did away with the lock.

I bought a cheap telex on eBay and that works great for the 88 as it is very quiet. The only times it's loud is if a window doesn't seal but that'll only happen on the takeoff roll to initial climb then it's a silent world with a slight vibrator noise. When that thing is off that cockpit is extremely quiet.

Default Delta Hiring?

Just flew with a Line Check guy, and he said we will be hiring 300 pilots either during the Summer or just after. That was the number he gave.

Doesn't make sense to me. I know you're just the messenger but it would make more sense to hire before our busy season(summer) rather than after. If true, I wonder what the reasoning would be??

On the other forum someone mentioned that the average price of hotel rooms in NYC is about $120. Is that true for these hotels, or are they more?

What about the average crash pad situation? Do you have to "crash" in a dump to be able to afford it?
