Heck CRJ50'w cost about 15K a charter, and that is for a short flight. Take a 767 cross country and you are talking 100 of thousands of dollars.

Ok, sorry, probably asked or said before, but I am on the -9 and in Jan go to DBMS stuff. I am on resrv, and I thought I heard or read there is a way to bid or request that you be assigned short call resrv days ealry in the month...I guess helping your raw score...Which I am still trying to figure out what all that means. Thanks for any help

XJT does NCAA B-Ball charters and one of my firends was flying the Ohio St. Buckeyes when Greg Oden (7'0" tall) was playing. He said they gave him the exit row and his knees were still in his chest. I bet he was miserable.

I'm glad I clicked on this thread when I did. Are the two A320s that sit at the FBO in ATL charters? At least one seems to be there all the time, at first I assumed charter, but it seems like they rarely move.

Don't think Sports teams. Think of one of our current 175s with 86 seats being used to go up against Alligent. Like GRR to MCO. However sports teams would also fit better

Default Inverse assignment ??

I received a call yesterday about an inverse assignment. Due to personal reasons and the storm, I did not reply. This is however, the first time I haven't been all over them. Later I got this question for self; if on reserve and you accept an inverse assigment, will you really get premium pay? Will this only benefit you if you have 70+ hours that month?

How does this "premium pay" benefit a reserve guy?

If you get inversly assigned while on a X day on resrve you will ger normal pay above guarantee. You will also get your days back. Just like a GS.

If on a work day, they say you are paid, but I did this a few years ago, and was just credited towards my guarantee. (Tricky since you need to be legal for FAR rest and being on LC does not work for that except in the first few hrs after rest after a SC or coming off an X day)

OK, I can see while being on call. But if on an X day you will only receive your guarantee plus the trip, or will you receive the guarantee pluss 2X what the trip is worth, like a lineholder would? Confusing stuff and doesn't really encourage any reserve guy to work extra...
