For JFK-SFO at 1930, they can't call you later than 0630 (domestic only requires 1 hour for sing in).

If they convert you to short call, your short call availability window is 12 hours for domestic or 24 hours for international. The reason for this is that Whitlow applies to domestic flying but not international.

Does that make sense?
Thank you upndsky, ACL and sinca.....now it all makes sense.

Where are all the new A320's coming from, or are they fat stacking it that much?
Purely increased utilization. It's amazing what flying airplanes more hours a day will do to staffing.

Even though this is going to be a hard AE to swallow, it appears to be the first in the growth direction. I know you cannot really see it, but it is there. Trust me.

They have been sitting with this lump on the wide body positions for a year and a half. Well, now that we are all together, they can take the hit and right size these seats.

Going forward, we will see more big jets moved around, utilization increased, needs for widebody pilots go up, AE's with better paying seats on them, and maybe new bodies in the not so distant future.

Hang tight it will be a wild ride, but one we must do.

now the data I'm using is the current published category list dated December 2010 as compared to the just published projected manning list from the 22 D.3 report on the crew resources website:

"Section 22 D.3. PWA Requirement December 2010 Pilot Staffing "

This is the most accurate data on what is happening. You can find these reports on the Pilot Resources and Scheduling section of the Flight Ops website.

So, I don't understand your comment of it being erroneous?

OK sorry I misunderstood what was stated. To be honest I am having a hard time figuring this all out myself. So is using the 22 D.3 data compared to what is actually in bases right now the best way to determine increase/decrease within a position/base or current December basing vs what the AE shows increase/decrease?

Just think, with all the money you save on the mortgage, you can afford to buy lots of guns, bars for the windows, and a couple of rottweilers.

Crash pad over at Eminem's, that's what I'm banking on when I get my 777B slot.

I've read 'bout every post since the AE first came out. Anybody care to speculate on how this might affect MEM staffing? I'm 8 or 9 from the bottom on DC-9/A (DEC-'95 hire), and wondering how to arrange my preferences. My first thoughts were that I'd move up in MEM. After contemplation, I'm wondering if guys will move in on top of me, and and thus get flushed out the bottom? Any thoughts guys?
