It would be good to go on DALPA and review the Transition Working Group Notepad, 09-18, Filling of Vacancies. But:

1. Vacation? AE - must rebid, MD -keep, VD - must rebid
2. Eligible for Paid Move? AE - No, MD - Yes, VD - Yes
3. Will Award incur a Freeze? AE - Yes, MD - No, VD - Yes
4. Eligible for Award if under a Freeze? AE - No, MD - Yes, VD - Yes
5. Seniority for Position Award? AE - use your seniority, MD - use your seniority, VD - use your seniority for open vacation and same position but use junior pilots seniority for other position.
6. Eligible for Pay Protection? AE - No, MD - Yes, per certain criteria, VD - No.

From my figuring, ATL loses 323 slots.

220 surpluses are the 765 flying moving to NYC and 217 are the 767 surpluses.

ATL gains in the M88, 73N categories, with a little 7ERB growth.

Check, you forgot its Hartsfield-Jackson, not Hartsfield.

1. Gone with the AE
2. Invasion of the NYC/MSP Body Snatchers
3. SAW IX: AE 29DEC09
4. Bad Company
5. There Will Be ATL Blood

The AE is out on DeltaNet too in PDF form.

Conversion window is Jan 1, 2010 until Dec 1, 2010.

Kinda odd that they are displacing 63 FOs off the 747 but no captains.

???

I think it's left over from the switch to Delta work rules - NWA had 3 FOs and 1 Captain on a double-crew. Delta has two Captains, 2 FOs.

So, after they trained more B744 Captains, they are able to displace the FOs.

I like #1. Gone with the AE. In the immortal words of Rhett "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!".

Actually I do. I am curious how many guys chase the money from ATL. If they elect to stay, ATL will go waaaay senior now. Talking early 2001 hires as the 88 plug at best.

The next thing I'm curious about is how many CVG guys fly north to DTW to get on the 777.
