What is the typical range a NYC 737 FO credits per month? Assume someone at 50% in seat, base, and their type. What would be an unsurprising number to most delta pilots if the pilot hustled and worked 15 days for the month, living in base? I’m trying to compare this to American to get and idea of the amount of premium and soft time at Delta. Thanks!

If you worked only 15 days, you would get about 79 hours of pay..How much guys make varies depending on how short staffed your category is, the number of days you want to work, and your seniority. Senior pilots can fly 15 to 30 hours block and get over 100 hours of pay with easy trips full of credit.

If you live in base you could easily bid a 12 day schedule and add one overtime trip. Since you could bid higher time rotations without worrying about commuting crediting 100 hours a month in 15 days should be doable. You could also bid reserve and attempt rolling thunder that could produce months well in excess of 100 hours a month. The problem is it’s all trip and Manning defendant and can change. Reroutes can also add credit time. If you get a trip bought for training you could easily be well above 100 also.
As a general rule pilots who live within driving distance if the NY airports due extremely well.

NYC NB is chronically short staffed as the junior base. A little seniority and being local goes a long way when you want to make money.

As a commuter on that fleet and as low as 80% seniority, I bid to fly with LCAs and had 1-2 trips a month bought off for OE, and also flew 1-2 green slips a month (4-6 days total), for a full year average of 110-115 hrs credit per month. I was surprised at how junior I could be and get LCA trips, I think, because so many commuters senior to me just didn’t bid for them, plus the near constant churn of OE.

The real boon to being local would be the blanket GS request and being able to snagall kinds of stuff like the double uncommutable EWR trips to UVF and LIR that go out as GS pretty frequently.

You can easily credit over 100 hours per month. I’m a SEA 73b and live in base. I bid a schedule of 72-75 hours a month and then hope for 1-2 green slips. I’ve been averaging 111 hours for the past six months and have had 2 months over 130 hours in the past year. Pilots junior to me fly 4-5 GSs each month. That may change as staffing improves, but you will do well living in base. Good luck.

Default Hiring gouge
I have a friend that is interested in going from single engine private pilot to airline pilot. I have absolutely no clue about how to build time, going to regionals, and what it takes to get to a major airline.

I am looking for a source or service to connect him with to get him the info he wants.

Any ideas?
