I don’t think the batch sizes are restricted until the January bid period. After the first, I will happily take a call knowing they are either compliant, or they are going to pay me two hours for having disturbed me.

Two more calls this morning and no luck.....

Weekly flight ops update asks me not to walk through the terminal with a furrowed brow because of the negative effects on our passengers. The same update makes no mention of our horrendous holiday cancellation record. Is pilot body language the new D0 to launch us back to leading the industry?

I could honestly go without the weekly and monthly flight ops updates to let those working on them tackle more pressing issues. They’re reminding us to turn out the lights as we exit the burning building.

Oh, and update your darn ipads already!

If seeing my furrowed brow while walking the terminal gives you pause to fly, maybe don’t fly.

Flight ops is tone def to the actual reality of operations these days. It's easier for them to point the finger at the front line employees than it is to look at their own bad decisions.

The next step is updating airport facial recognition cameras with enhancements that include body language detection. Expect a revised pilot dashboard that tracks pilot body language in addition to other metrics. Updating crew resources tools and iCrew functionality will be delayed as we implement this new, important metric.

A little Botox goes a long way.
