Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Call skeds. They will be able to look the trip up and why it was assigned. The automated system assigns trips based on a ruthless set of programmed parameters, Sadly, it’s usually correct. It sees all the legalities and variables that we can’t. A scheduler can tell you the reasons it did what it did.
First thing I do is look at the other guy’s schedule. Sometimes the answer is right there. I’ve seen where a pilot was listed as available on the list then when he’s bypassed a look at his schedule showed NQAT. Can also see if it’s missing 30/168 rest, late duty night before etc.
Doesn’t always give the answer, but can save time and effort on a phone call.

I know two guys personally in my category that are NQ for CQ, but don't have NQ on their schedule and keep showing up on the Reserve Avail List.

I showed up on the reserve availability list continuously throughout my 30 hours of assigned rest.
Until/ unless it's fixed, the list should simply be called the "reserve pilots who are more than likely not on X days" list. Instead of RAL, it's simply the RPWAMTLNOXDL.

Why we see a different product than CS is absolutely beyond me. It shouldn’t be this hard (sts).

It likely isn’t that hard. But why would Delta pay for it when they can just sit back and wait for DALPA to have to burn negotiating capital to fix it (because the pilots are ****ed about it and want it changed)?

ULC Reserve
Is Ultra Long Call (ULC) reserve available for bid in January or are we waiting for the next Issac Newton to invent a new form of math to allow DAL IT to implement this?
Maybe we can borrow the WOPR from War Games - if not I heard HAL was available.

The WOPR was sued by Burger King and is now working all their stores as the “Kiosk Manager”
Bidding reserve in January with CQ in the month.
On the John Bell spreadsheet calculator when I type in "3" for CQ, it then says in that line, "CQ does not prorate."
But it should, shouldn't it? I have 3 days of CQ and that will partly go towards reserve.
Anyone see this before?

According to Ed, January 1st all merit and hourly ground employees will return to full schedules. Any thoughts on this?
