Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
There’s a huge difference between your examples and mask wearing. All of your examples went through the proper order of government before they were enacted. I don’t recall the Wright bros. seeking any sort of gov’t approval, by the way. Mask wearing has been mandated by executive orders bypassing all of the representatives we’ve put in place to represent us. Too much power in too few hands. I believe that’s the biggest issue most people have with mask wearing. Last i checked there hasn’t been any official states of emergency declared. I could be wrong but I know in my state, at least, there has been no such declaration made.

Obviously each state is different.
It looks like flight attendants are the new reservation agents in terms of not having any. I have had nearly every flight this trip delayed for want of them and now my commute home is delayed. Frustrating we don’t learn from our mistakes.

I noticed on the Ops notes a couple of days ago that we had some cancellations for IFS.

Very off topic but since this has become kinda catchall thread, thought I'd ask here.
I'm looking at options for some kind of high speed internet in a rural area. Xfinity says they service the area but after checking with them, they say my house is too far away from a hub and the signal would be too degraded so they don't service my address. No DSL providers that I can find either.
The only two options I can come up with are Viasat and Hughes Net. I don't like either one. I'm trying to be able to stream Netflix/PrimeTV. I might even be convinced to pay the price but the upload/download speeds (in my area) of these two options suck! I've also looked into using a hotspot from a phone company such as ATT but it's not really viable for other than surfing the internet.
Wondering if the collective might have some ideas. Thanks,
Denny

Just click on the "In Flight Service" section of DeltaNet to see the details -- IPY (extra pay) to fly for basically every base in the system. And they are asking for volunteers to return from their Leaves early (until Jul 31). A large group returns 1 Aug from the May-Jun-Jul 3-month PLOC, but management has completely botched staffing until then.

Here is the kick in the ****. Comcast/Xfinity cable runs along the road in front of the property. The houses that are closer to the road have cable. Because I’m set back......no cable for me.....because I’m to far from a “hub.” Not cost effective for them to put one in.

EDIT: and like a good teenager, I accidentally chopped that cable up when my dad had me use a rototiller on the front flower beds

I believe my parents had the same issue. They live on a flag lot and I think they ended up paying to have the cable run to their house. Might be worth asking a manager about something like that, but it’s probably going to be expensive.
