Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
On the upside....
Well seems I have to backpedal on this answer. I just got an email today saying the company is now denying the 4 hours because the sim was for re-establishing recency and not maintaining recency......at least that’s what I got from it.
Doesn’t make a lot of sense to me...

It would be at least a year if not more before we could complete a cargo conversion for a aircraft. In the end we might wind up competing with ourselves. In order to justify a dedicated freighter you need enough demand where the passenger aircraft are maxed out for belly freight and you can fill the freighter.

I never left passengers for cargo and that is not how Delta set the priorities. I have left cargo out of SVO, ATH, FCO and TLV for weight. Station manager in TLV said they would get it out the next day 90% of time. You would need a huge amount of cargo to cover the cost of a dedicated freighter. Delta tried it once and NWA tried it for many years. Did not work for either company. UPS tried to fly passenger once also. Did not work out well for them.
While we leave non-revs behind for cargo, we NEVER leave paying passengers. Cuz cargo is rev and non-revs, by definition, are not.
.
Another point of why a cargo conversion isn't useful is that before the Coronovirus, Atlas has freighters parked because not enough business. It's very cyclical, and we'd be paying for planes to sit around when business was bad - or lower the price so much we would be flying for free.

Does anyone have good sa on where they are with landing currency rehacks? I’m due next week and heard crickets thus far. Are they pushing us down the line and letting us go out of currency in order to deal with closer rocks? Stuff like that. Thanks

Company stated they were not going to use the waiver. Having said that I will expire soon and have heard nothing.
