I heard that the 2010 initiative "Corporate Job Sharing" will actually have the FO's conducting the deice when acting as the pilot monitoring. When the FO is the pilot flying, the capt opps, I mean the FO will be conducting the deicing.

I noticed the 744 DTW B has 54% of its trips are 9-12 days with 23% 10 days and the 755 MSP B has as much as 10% of its trips as 12 days long while DTW B is 3%. The 12-day NYC ER trip is the only one.

Just thought it was interesting thats all.
FTB you cry baby, that is nothing compared to our February ATL M88 B trips:

A ATL-BHM BHM-CSG CSG-MCN MCN-AGS AGS-TYS
B TYS-CHO CHO-BNA BNA-MEM MEM-IND IND-MEM MEM-JAN
C JAN-MGM MGM-JAN JAN-MGM MGM-CSG CSG-ABY ABY-FLO
D FLO-VDI VDI-ATL ATL-DKR (DH)
F DKR-NIM
H NIM-DOG DOG-NIM
J NIM-DOG DOG-ELF
K ELF-MGQ
L MGQ-DXB DXB-ATL (DH)

Its like 12 days and 22 hours blk time. It's like 35% of our flying in February and they said more for Summer.

This is why I wouldn't bid for or MD for ATL 88 B. This plane and base sucks.

That sounds about right. You know the FO's don't really have a lot to do as it is....

LMAO!

But they've had the FOs pushing the 88s around for years down here in ATL.

Its SOP for us to carry our own ladders to do the tactile inspection, FO's are allowed to land in VFR only with a LCA on board and the cabin empty, and the company has said nothing yet about installing gear lights in the cockpit so we don't have to scope the gear on every landing. Some of the Captains and ALL of the airplanes refuse to use VNAV. Every time we go to our V-Files the CPO has left a "YOU SUCK" message in there for us. I caught a guy trying to slit his wrist the other day, I talked him out of it, pointed to all of the 767 B pilots and AQPs that were laughing at him, said he could be one of them one day. I saved his life but all I got was a pat on the back that really turned out to be a kick me post-it-note.

Need I say more about ATL M88 B?

I know EXACTLY what you're saying I was pulling my hair out when John the PBS guy walked over and told me what to do. I didn't see the memo till much later.

That and he had the desktop thingie on a tumbdrive that was passed around vs pulling your hair out with the download and install.

This guy was dues money/flight pay loss well spent.

We did have that rig prebankruptcy. The trips we're talking about would not leave at 11am, they would leave at 1500 to 1700 so one can commute in with backups. Also, they release a lot earlier than 7pm so once again you can commute home.

I guess all we are saying is look at some north patters/rotations/pairings or what ever we call them today and see what we are talking about. Delta does NOT have the perfect answer to everything.

Rant over.........
