You hit on a good point. Crew resources is building horrible trips in an effort to reduce credit time. I wonder if they go back post month and do an accounting of how much credit they generated when trips get broken up because no one will pick them up, or when people sick out of a trip they don’t want to fly.
80 hours doesn't always look the same. There are substantial differences between categories and even within categories depending on the season.
After crediting 80 hours per month for two months (RES with 7 days vacation), my wife asked if I missed flying. All I did was 2-3 short calls per month and no trips. I did miss flying, so I flew 80 hours the next month. 12 days was alot of work. Summer will look different, but 80 hours isn't equal in all categories.

Thanks! I'm not sure if my eyes or my memory is worse. I've checked that thing a dozen times before and for some reason just couldn't find it this morning.
EDIT: is there a FDP calculator somewhere as well? I'm on SC today and for grins I ran a 1 day trip that was covered by another pilot against my line in the rules auditor and I got a 60/168 FDP violation that I'd like to investigate.

Ah, my bad. So, 60 cumulative hour limit in a rolling 168-hr window. Not sure there's a calculator for that other than just looking at your trips for such conflict (or using the rules auditor)
... unless you mean the 60 degrees longitude rule?
If a flightcrew member travels more than 60 degrees longitude in a FDP or series of FDPs and is away from home base for 168 consecutive hours, the crewmember must be given 56 consecutive hours of rest upon return to home base that must encompass 3 physiological nights based on local time. A physiological night’s rest means 10 hours of rest that encompasses the hours of
0500 and 0700 at the flightcrew member’s home base, unless the individual has acclimated to a different theater.

What is a Q trip in open time? I see one I'd like to take but I don't see any way to get it on my schedule.
