Is that really a bad thing? If someone is dumb enough to say something stupid on a platform their company owns, odds are they are too dumb to fly or too angry to put up with on a 4 day trip.

I'm a millennial too and don't really have a social media presence outside of this forum. Since the company already made an account for you that is open by default, you should go on to skyhub at least once to make your account private.

During a delay, an assistant chief pilot was trying to sell skyhub. I told him that I hate most social media websites so why would I want to use skyhub. Here was the conversation:

Him: "This is a great tool for us to send you information about what the company is doing"

Me: "I get weekly emails and lots mandatory bulletins. And if I am still in need on information, there are tons of stuff on Deltanet."

Him: "But we will put stuff on skyhub early before it is official"

Me: "I think I'll just wait until it is official"

And that is sooooooo different than this place, chitchat or Facebook... how again?

I have news for you guys that have not been here for long. You are not as anonymous as you think you are here. Not.even.close.

I hear this mentioned a lot and I mean I guess I get your point - it wouldn’t exactly take an act of Congress to get my personal info if the company wanted it and there’s plenty of data to point to me being me. But with skyhub (and I am on it but not the app) is literally owned and run by the company. They even created my account. Everything I do on there is readily available to them. At least they’d have to do SOME digging to get info on me from APC, no? Genuinely interested if that’s not the case.

You ever said anything you regret later? Until there is some kind of protection from discipline if what you post isn't "kosher," I will not be using it.

If you need protection from the comments you say to your coworkers, you should probably reevaluate how you deal with your coworkers

Not in this day and age. The concerns are more than well founded.

I'm not 100% sure "them" is PC compliant but I'll let it slide this time.

You ever said anything taken out of context etc.? It's not necessarily about dealing with your coworkers, it could be some offhand comment you think is funny that others don't. Or it could be a comment about the company that bites you.

I'm not telling anyone what to do. I will follow what I think is a prudent course under the circumstances.
