The best route is to bid a regular line in Jan, Feb, or Mar. Then PD/APD the trip that has the highest hours on the first day. Next, call crew scheduling and tell them you want to use your last PB day to cover the first day. Then white slip the trip (or another trip) back.

On reserve you can PD a day and cover it with a PB day but it won’t change your pay for the month because it’s use just gets you back to reserve guarantee.

Better off to let it go to vacation than use on a res day from a pay perspective. Denny’s use on a line is even better, as long as you put it on a high paying day.

Cool thanks guy, interestingly enough when I go to my time card for Jan 1 it doesn't show any PB days for use. Just a rollover IT thing?

Yes, they're still there until the vacation year ends. You just call CS and ask them to place them where you like.

You need to find the “Vacation/Bank/Pay Back Day” listed on the same menu as your Timecard link. You should be able to see it somewhere there.

I should know this but: Does it have to be the FIRST day of the trip you are dropping and using a pb day for? Could I use other pb days during that same trip? Thanks very much.

Hey guys. Just a quick question. I’m a Comair alum from 2006 to 2010. Never involved in the drama of the strike or the RJDC (I think that’s what it was called). I have had an app in at Delta for a few years now and have 6 internal recs. Had a couple buddies submit my app directly with recruiting and haven’t heard a peep. I graduated from a 141 flight school as a check instructor in less than 4 years. Above a 3.0 gpa. Never failed any check ride or training event. Have volunteer work. Live in ATL. Have several friends hired at Delta in the last couple years. My question is do you think the Comair on my app is preventing me from getting the call for an interview? Is it possible that that’s still a thing?

Yes, it starts with the first day and increments through the trip from start to finish. Remember you can also pick the trip back up via PCS white slip (or try to, since someone senior could get it first) and actually fly it for straight pay if you'd like.

Yes. Very few Comair guys at Delta. I've seen some guys hired but they had high up recommendations or their father was a Delta pilot.
