Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
You know what they say about big feet: big luggage! Since my workout shoes are not dual-purpose going-out shoes, I think I need the big bag for longer domestic trips, particularly during the winter. Can someone who deadheads around the domestic system with such a bag weigh in if it's worth it? Do you prefer it over adding a third bag flight attendant-style?

I thought black pilot shoes with jeans was the cool layover look?

That was last year's fashion. This year is a return to white NB walking shoes, tan tactical pants and a pastel colored fishing shirt.
Once I made the mistake of wearing layover clothes at home. My wife refused to go out with me dressed like that. I thanked her for confirming my excellent fashion choice around the FAs.

One snowy NYC night, going out to dinner, the MIA based F/A's showed up in the lobby with Delta blanket shawls and baggies on their shoes, I for sure would have lost them to "Lil' Big Dog" before the night was over.
OE trip buy question
I have a trip starting tomorrow marked for OE. I called the schedulers tonight and they're not going to release me until trip sign-in, reference the storm. I'm not griping about that.
My questions:
If I sign in, then get released, am I required to get a 10-hour minimum rest before I start a different trip, since I started a FDP expecting (maybe) to fly?
OR, is it legal per 117 to pick up something prior to another rest period? Per the PWA?
If I am legal and I do pick up something within the then currently-running FPP, should it be at reroute pay (ATL-based and ATL is not on the double 23k recovery list, yet).

I’m no expert though, I could be wrong, or if they need you bad enough, and you’re volunteering, they might work with you. You’re obviously legal....I’d recommend, assuming you do, in fact, get released, you call scheduling and tell them you’re willing and available to fly and see what they say.
Good luck.

I’m afraid once you sign in, and then get released, you’ll automatically be on rest, per the PWA. It’s there for our protection from scheduling, but I think in this case, you’re getting burned by it.

Scheduling may think so but contractually the LCA releases you. If it’s after the first segment of the rotation you can be rerouted into other flying. Prior to that you are simply released without obligation if a regular line holder and the entire rotation is a LOE. I would contact the LCA for release. If you don’t want the 10 hour clock started simply don’t sign in. Get the release first. Section 23G for reference.
