One hour of credit towards the guarantee does you no good if you are full. The way SCC shows up on the time card leaves many people thinking it's additive...but the guarantee is reduced by that same 1.0. And don't forget, it's also only for SC pilots who are not used during that short call.

Except as provided in Section 4 H. 2., a short call reserve pilot who does not perform flying during a short call period will receive one hour of pay and credit offset against his reserve guarantee.
... if your guarantee is already met, and you aren't actually in a short call status anyway, you'll not get a thing. If you aren't yet full, your guarantee on your time card will increment down one hour while your SCC value will go up 1.0. It helps you fill up faster, but it doesn't pay you extra.
Some bad info here...
For the most recent, yes you get an extra hour of pay when full... that's why it's "pay and credit."
Also, the scheduler called multiple times making sure they notified me of the SC within the 12 hour window. I would have gone flying had I not had them mark me full (ATL 320 A is VERY short staffed). The system does not automatically inhibit assignments, which is something that needs to be fixed. They'll fly you until you realize otherwise and make them mark you full (which they don't fight.).

Because it doesn't go ABOVE guarantee. It is in your pay calculations, but you have to get enough to get to guarantee before it becomes actual additional pay.
If they all go against your guarantee your other flying (pay and credit) takes you above the guarantee. It doesn't matter what you count first. With that said I've never had that happen.

I thought we were talking about an extra hour of SCC after filling up, in which case the order matters. I'll be pleasantly surprised if someone's time card and pay closes out with them having received an extra hour of pay and credit, above the rotation that filled them up, for a SC assignment that was neither contractual nor fulfilled. Has this happened?
