Question for anyone:

If you get MD'd to the MD-90, can you later bid a MD-88 position or vice versa, and get no freeze?

The eye candy doesnt get much better than Saturday night on 6th street. The only way it would have been better is if it had been a home game last night.

Another Question for anyone with inside knowledge:

How much of the DC-9 30's and 40's October 2010 parking will be reflected on the upcoming AE?

I took the Memo as all of them will be accounted for in this AE.

I'd think because of how little the differences training is that there wouldn't be a freeze, but I'll look it up.

Well it was in the "Homeland" so i guess it was close enough to a Home game. I have no doubt that the candy was running rampant in Dallas last night as well

NewK;

MD's have no freezes

As I read SD's memo, all of the -9 parking this fall would be reflected in this AE.

I'm a DALS guy and frankly am a little miffed as to why they are parking the -9s since they are paid for.

I feel the same way about the 747-200s - I just think there is money to be made flying Military stuff.

Saudi's say oil is priced right, maybe the parking of the -9s will be delayed.

Anyone got a synopsis of latest and greatest rumors, theories, innuendos, dot connections, lies, etc.

Super-

I have no dog in this fight, but.... Texas is 7-0-1 against "Bama all time. However The last time they played was 1982. None of the current players were even born yet, as well as a few coaches. Heck Bear Bryant was still pacing the sidelines.

Like I said no dog in this fight it should be a great game. Hopefully it will be after a nice Fiesta Bowl win for my Hawkeyes.

My "educated" guess is that if you get MD'd to the MD90, go thru qualification training and then AE to the MD88 at a base that does not fly the 90, then no you would not incur a freeze because qualification training is not required. Now, if you go the opposite way from an MD88 only category to one that flys both and so incur qualification training on the 90, then I THINK you do incur a freeze. Whether it is 9 months or 2 years is a question. I THINK it is 9 mo. which would be similar to the 767 to 767-400.

Especially when we hear talk that they are looking for a 100 seater.
